PUBG Mobile PMPL SEA Championship Season 4 2021: Invited teams, format, prize pool and more

Race to the PMGC 2021 begins on October 12th!

PUBG Mobile esports world is now watching the intensity of its Pro League event in all the countries. To a further extent the intensity a bit, the regional stage is preparing to welcome the teams. As the PMPL in four Southeast Asian countries namely MYSG, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia ended already, the best teams from these countries will now join the fight to become the number one team of Southeast Asia. Talking about the PUBG Mobile PMPL SEA Championship Season 4 2021, the tournament has great significance as the event will send three teams to participate in the most glamorous event of PUBG Mobile, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 Season 1.

PUBG Mobile PMPL SEA Championship Season 4 2021: Schedule

The biggest event in SEA will start on the 12th of October, 2021 and will run till the 31st of October, 2021. There are two stages, namely League Play and Super Weekend. The three-week league play and super weekend each week will take place between the mentioned dates. Finals will be held from the 5th of November, 2021 to the 7th of November, 2021.

Tournament Format

The initial stage of the tournament is its league play. Teams will fight for three consecutive weeks. Each team will play a total of 10 matches each week. 20 teams will split into five groups. Each team will play 4 matches per day for a total of 10 matches in a week. The matches will follow a round-robin format.

Collected points by each team in 10 matches will determine 16 teams for that week’s Super Weekend. There will be a total of 15 matches in a super weekend, followed by a single lobby format, and a total of 5 matches per day. The top 16 teams based on their super weekend points will make their reservation to the PMPL SEA Finals. The champions of the SEA finals along with the second and the third-placed teams will confirm their slots in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021.

Participant teams

The event will feature 20 teams in total. The top two teams from the PMPL SEA Championship S3, winner of each country’s PMPL League, top three of each country’s PMPL finals, top 2 teams from PMCO SEA Wildcard will participate in this event. The list of the teams is as follows.

PMGC: Qualified teams

Four teams i.e. D’Xavier, Genesis Dogma GIDS, The Infinity, Team Secret have already qualified for the PMGC 2021 from their respective PMPL. Excluding them, the tournament will provide tickets for another four teams to participate in PMGC. Fans should not lose hope as there’s still a chance for their favourite teams to make their way to the next global event.

Final thoughts

Teams like Bigetron RA, FaZe Clan, Geek Fam and EVOS Reborn are meant to play the PMGC. BTR, starting with a lead of nearly a hundred points, lost their place to GD GIDS, after not being able to qualify for a super weekend. As a simple mistake can cost big time, teams will give their best to take a place on the big stage. The first regional championship of this Fall is going to be a tournament filled with intense battles and a show of the bests.
