PUBG Mobile World Invitational: India might get another slot at the 2022 PMWI

The team will join Team SouL to represent India on the global stage

According to rumors published by popular esports news company Gemwire, India might get another slot at the PUBG Mobile World Invitational or the PMWI 2022. According to sources, it is stated that an Indian team will receive a direct invite to the tournament.

How will the invitation work and for which event will it be

According to the rumors, Krafton will host another LAN event in India for BGMI sometime soon after the conclusion of the ongoing NODWIN BGMI Masters tournament in the mode as well. The winner of the Krafton LAN event will receive a direct invite to the PUBG Mobile World Invitational: After Party Showdown.

But it is to be noted that the After Party Showdown isn’t a part of the PMWI Main Event, and will simply be a friendly event of sorts where 12 teams will fight each other to have fun rather than have a cutthroat competition for the huge prize pool and the trophy.

Team SouL, on the other hand, the first invited team from India and the winners of BMPS, will attend the main event to fight for the trophy and give their best shot at the tournament while representing their country.

PMWI main event will be divided into two stages, namely the round-robin eliminations and the Grand Finals from the 21st of July 2022 to the 24th of July 2022. The After Party Showdown will be held after the finals where the rumored second slot for India will be eligible and the winner will represent India in the 2022 PMWI along with Team SouL.

A chance to showcase the skills on a global stage

Although the invitation slot is not for the main event, it is nevertheless quite an honor to be able to play against some of the best teams in the world. If the rumor is indeed true, then the team invited will surely be more than eager to grab the chance as it is not every day that a team gets a chance to compete on an international stage against the best teams from other regions. The After Party Showdown will also include a small portion of the $4,000,000 prize pool which will give the teams further incentive to try their level best.
