Talon Esports is crowned as the champion of RoV Pro League (RPL) 2023 Winter

Supremacy at the big stage!

Arena of Valor has concluded another tournament. RoV Pro League (RPL) 2023 Winter ended with Talon Esports becoming the crowned champion. Defeating Bacon Time in the grand finals by a scoreline of 4-2 has made them the owner of the trophy. Winning the trophy has allocated the champion team a spot in the Honor of Kings International Championship 2023. Besides, the top three teams are also qualified for AIC 2023. Apart from the champion team, the rest of the participants will play the Thailand qualifiers of the KIC 2023 while the 4th and 5th place teams will play in the wildcard stage of AIC 2023.

Before the Grand Finals, the esports event started on the 20th of August 2023, and came to an end on the 22nd of October. A total of 9 participants fought for the champion trophy, along with a place in the KIC 2023.

The playoff stage started with Buriram United Esports and B Esports x Hydra meeting each other in the lower bracket semifinal. B Esports x Hydra won the match by 4-3 and moved to the lower bracket final. Talon Esports played their first match against Bacon Time in the upper bracket final and lost the game by 4- 2. The team had to play in the lower bracket final against B Esports x Hydra and the team picked up a win by making the score line 4- 2 and moving to the grand final to meet Bacon Time again.

Despite the downfall that the champion team faced in the upper bracket final, the grand final was the opposite. By winning the first round, the RoV Pro League 2023 Winter champion announced that they will not leave any mark behind for Bacon Time in the race to the trophy. The runner-up team took over the next two games. But the champion team stopped their opponent right there and took away the last three rounds to pick up the champion trophy.

Talon Esports took the lion’s share of the Prize Pool home

The event featured a whopping sum of ฿10,000,000 (approximately $305,000 as the prize pool. The distribution of the share of each team is as follows.
