Tribe Gaming, a North American esports company focused on mobile gaming, has launched a scholarship program by partnering with Razer, a leading company to make high-performance gaming hardware, software, and systems. The scholarship program includes a $1,000 monthly reward for enrolled college students.
The program will run for the next ten months, hence awarding $10,000 total as part of the scholarship. A tweet from the official account of Tribe Gaming confirmed the announcement regarding the partnership between Tribe Gaming and Razer.
How to apply for the scholarship program
College students in the United States who want to get involved in mobile gaming and esports are eligible for the scholarship. The first $1,000 is already up for grabs as the registration is going on currently. Interested students have to apply by August 31. What is good about the program is that the scholarship fund is open to everyone, irrespective of the devices they used for playing. In other words, this isn’t just for mobile gamers. Any currently enrolled college student with a passion for gaming and esports is eligible to apply.
The program is a part of searching for future thought leaders in both gaming and esports. The application process and details can be found on their official website.
“Teaming up with Razer to launch a scholarship fund is a natural fit – we both want to more broadly support collegiate students, as well as lift the future of gaming and esports”, said Michael Valore, Director of Accounts at Tribe Gaming. “Tribe has been hiring extensively within the collegiate space over the last year, and we’re excited to help continue to cultivate the esports and gaming thought leaders of tomorrow”, he further added.
Tribe gaming has seen multiple expansions this year. This isn’t the first time they’re teaming up with Razer. In March, both the companies entered into an exclusive peripheral partnership. The organization is also partners with Elgato, the world’s leading provider of audiovisual technology. In July, Tribe Gaming joined hands with San Antonio Spurs owner SS&E.
