Tips to use this new brawler effectively in-game!

Chuck, a recent addition to Brawl Stars, is set to make its debut in mid-October. He is a train conductor with a passion for music. Chuck has a unique playstyle that makes him stand out from the rest of the brawlers. In this article, we will give players some tips and tricks on how to use Chuck effectively and master his skills. We will cover his attack, super, star power, gadget, and best gears for different situations. By the end of this guide, one will be ready to hop on the train and dominate the battlefield with Chuck in Brawl Stars.

New Brawler: Chuck

Chuck belongs to the Mythic Brawler category and has a high level of health and damage at close range. His trait gives him the advantage of having his Super ready at the beginning of a match. He shoots three puffs of steam from his hat that pierce through enemies and deal more damage at a shorter distance.

Brawl Stars Chuck Guide: Attacks

Chuck’s Passive/Traits

Chuck has a unique trait, that charges his Super over time, taking 5 seconds to fully charge it.

Chuck’s Attack: Steam Engine

Chuck’s main attack is Steam Engine, which shoots a cloud of steam from his hat, piercing and damaging enemies. The steam has a long range and is widespread, but the damage decreases as the distance increases.

This means that Chuck is most effective at close to medium range, where he can deal maximum damage to multiple enemies at once. However, he also has a slow reload speed and a long cooldown between attacks, so he needs to be careful not to waste his shots or get overwhelmed by faster enemies.

Tips for using Chuck’s attack

  • Aim for groups of enemies or enemies behind cover, as the steam can pierce through them and deal damage.
  • Use walls or obstacles to block enemy fire and get closer to them before unleashing your steam.
  • Try to predict enemy movements and fire ahead of them, as the steam has a moderate projectile speed.
  • Don’t be afraid to retreat if you are low on health or ammo, as Chuck has a fast movement speed and can use his Super to escape.

Chuck’s Super: Choo-Choo

Chuck’s Super is Choo-choo, which allows you to throw a train post that damages and knocks back enemies near the landing spot. The post also acts as a bounce pad for Chuck, allowing you to dash to the nearest post in the line of sight up to 6.67 tiles, dealing damage to enemies on the way.

Chuck can place up to 3 posts on the map (or 4 with his first Star Power), and they will disappear in the order they were placed if he tries to place more.

Tips for using Chuck’s Super

  • Use your Super at the start of the match or after respawning, as you already have it charged thanks to your Trait.
  • Place your posts strategically around the map, where they can provide you with mobility and control over key areas.
  • Use your posts to bounce around the map and surprise your enemies with your dashes. You can also use them to dodge enemy attacks or escape from dangerous situations.
  • Be aware of your surroundings and line of sight when dashing, as you might bounce into enemy fire or traps.
  • Use your Gadgets to enhance your Super. Rerouting can help you remove an unwanted post and recharge your Super faster. Ghost Train can help you dash through walls and obstacles.

His first Star Power is Pit Stop, which increases the maximum number of posts you can place by 1. This gives you more mobility, control options, and opportunities to deal damage with his dashes.

With his second Star Power is Tickets Please, if you dash with your Super through enemy Brawlers, you can steal 33% of their ammo for yourself. This gives you an advantage in duels and team fights, as he can reduce the enemy’s firepower while replenishing his own.

Gadgets

His second Gadget is Ghost Train, which allows his next dash to pass through walls and obstacles. This can help you to surprise your enemies or escape from sticky situations.

Best Game Modes for Chuck

Chuck is a great Brawler, and especially useful thanks to his Super, which allows you to throw a post on the ground that damages and pushes back nearby enemies, and also dash through them. With Rerouting Gadget, you can spam this again and again. Here are Griff’s best game modes:

  • Heist: Heist excels in Heist mode especially because of his Super, which becomes even more useful when combined with Rerouting and Pit Stop. With this toolkit, you can spam your Super frequently and directly attack the enemy’s safe, making Chuck very annoying to counter.
  • Gem Grab: He is a great pick in Gem Grab mode thanks to his high mobility with Choo-choo, allowing you to collect gems quickly, or pressure enemy gem carriers. With Pit Stop, you can do better map control, and with Ghost Train, you can dash through walls and target enemy gem carriers.
  • Hot Zone: Chuck can be a nuisance in Hot Zone, by knocking enemies out of the zones and draining their ammo using Ticket Please!, creating a significant advantage.
  • Knockout: You can opt for Chuck in Knockout, and reposition quickly by setting up more posts with the help of Pit Stop.

Best Brawler Combination with Chuck

Chuck is a powerful Brawler on his own, capable of making impressive plays, and even carrying the game. However, pairing him with reliable Brawlers is worth it. You can pair him with Poco, as his healing improves Chuck’s sustain, allowing you to move around without worry.

For tank options, Ollie and Buster synergize well, as they can absorb incoming damage and also distract enemies. Sandy also helps Chuck, by using Sandstorm Super which conceals you, letting you set up posts and go for an aggressive playstyle. Meanwhile, Bo or Piper can provide long-range support.

Best Gears for Chuck in Brawl Stars

The best gear for Chuck depends on his game mode and role in the team. However, some general recommendations are:

Damage Gear

Damage Gear really works well with Chuck, allowing you to deal more damage to both enemies and objectives like safes in modes like Hot Zones. This gear lets you deal 15% more damage, when your health drops below 50% Health.

Shield Gear

You can also equip the Shield Gear, which provides you an extra 900 health as a consumable shield, that regeneartes in 10 seconds, when you are at full health.
