Brawl Stars Glowbert Guide: Abilities Breakdown

Glowbert’s Unique Trait

Glowbert has a unique trait thanks to which you can charge Super by healing yourself and teammates.

Glowbert’s Attack: Glowbeam

With this, you literally fire a Glowbeam that creates a tether which deals damage and heal teammates at the same time if you hit it. Moreover, you can also tether to an enemy and one teammate simultaneously, but if your tethered target is very far from you or out of your line sight, this tether will break.

Glowbert’s Super: Creep from the Deep

Now, with the Creep from the Deep Super, you reveal your face in a wide area, dealing low piercing damage while also firing slowing projectiles. But the best part is enemies hit are feared for few seconds, forcing them to run away while also slowing their movement and disabling their attack, Super, and Hypercharge.

Tips for using Glowbert’s Super

  • Use it to control space: Now, the fear effect is great to force your enemies to either retreat or ambush them. So, try to activate the Super when your enemies are grouped together or break their rhythm in game modes like Gem Grab or Hot Zone.
  • Position it carefully: You need to understand that this fear effect only affects enemies facing you, so try to position yourself in front of them rather than flanking from different angles.
  • Try to not overcommit: Considering the effect last a few seconds, so I’ll suggest you not to overcommit when you don’t need to.

More Lumens!

More Lumens! basically supercharges your glowbeam tethers, doubling both damage and healing for a few seconds. This Gadget has a cooldown of 17 seconds.

Star Powers

Biotic Ecosystem

With the Biotic Ecosystem star power equipped, you can reduce enemy damage by a % while increasing your teammates’ damage by a % when you’re tethered to an enemy and teammate.

Parasitism

And by equipping Parasitism, you can heal yourself for a % of the damage dealt by tethering to an enemy.

Best Game Modes for Glowbert

Considering Glowbert’s kit is focused on sustain and control, you can perform really well in various game modes. And here are his best game modes, in my opinion:

  • Hot Zone: I think Glowbert will be a good in Hot Zone as you can utilize your Super here to force enemies out of the zones. And Support-type Brawlers helps a lot in modes like Hot Zone.
  • Brawl Ball: With Glowbert’s healing and tethering ability, you can easily stop enemy pushes, use the Slippery Savior gadget to reposition quickly all while keeping your allies alive.
  • Gem Grab: I play the Gem Grab mode a lot, and Glowbert looks like a great pick here too. You can quickly charge your Super by healing allies, and strategically use the Super to either force enemies out or grab the Gems.

Best Brawler Combination with Glowbert

I believe Glowbert is a solid Brawler on its own, but it’s always great to pair up with other solid Brawlers for better winning chances. You can team up with aggressive ones like Kenji, Kaze, or Mortis and tether to them while they dive in for objectives or kills. For tanks, Frank and Hank can be great partners.

Best Gears for Glowbert in Brawl Stars

Shield Gear or Health Gear

As a Support Brawler, you need to first keep yourself alive in order to heal and protect others. With Health Gear, you’ll recover 50% more Health, and by equipping the Shield Gear, you gain an additional 900 health as a consumable shield that regenerates in 10 seconds when you are at full health.
