Ready to beat it?

Clash of Clans kicks off the new year with an awesome theme January 2025 “Ice and Fire” Season and we have got our first event with the Ice Job Challenge. As part of the month’s events and challenges, this brings you to the first If you’re reading this article, you’re in the right place to learn how to secure those three stars with your attack.

Introducing the Ice Job Challenge in Clash of Clans

This challenge is seemingly pretty easy, although the base makes it look like it is a hard nut to crack. With clusters of defenses being active in this challenge alongside heavy heroes for what seems to be a very average troop combination in hand.

The rewards will be distributed like in previous challenges, with the team continuing their usual approach. There don’t seem to be any plans to change this anytime soon, as the makers have been repeatedly lazy. You will receive extra resources along with 400 XP, 25 Gems, and 1x Resource Potion.

Before starting the attack, ensure your Grand Warden is set to Air Mode. Start at the top of the base by deploying a Bowler above the Dark Elixir Storage. The Bowler will bounce through the storage to eliminate the Air Defense. Place a Balloon to the right of the same area where you deployed the Bowler to trigger the Seeking Air Mine. Once the Air Defense falls, deploy the Warden where the Balloon was placed. This initial setup creates a strong entry point for the rest of your attack.

Next, focus on the defenses. On the right side, place an Inferno Dragon on top of the King Statue to destroy the Monolith. On the left side, deploy your Barbarian King followed by the Archer Queen to the left of the Monolith. Once the Monolith is taken out, send in an Ice Golem ahead of the two remaining Monoliths and follow it up with a Balloon. When the Barbarian King reaches the Monoliths, activate his ability to clear this critical area.

Shift your attention to the bottom of the base. Deploy your Royal Champion near the Lunar New Year Obstacle on the left side and activate her ability to clear defenses. Once the Warden takes down the Ricochet Cannons, trigger his ability and use an Earthquake Spell to weaken the Single Target Inferno in the center. At this point, healing and precision placement will determine the outcome.

Use a Healing Spell on your King and Queen as they face off against the Ice Golems. If needed, revive the Royal Champion and guide her toward the Single Target Inferno with Invisibility Spells, turning any Multi-Target Infernos invisible to direct her path. Timing is crucial for activating abilities and deploying spells to maintain control of the attack.

Finally, handle any remaining defenses or non-defensive buildings using leftover troops. If the Monolith locks onto the King, it’s manageable, but if it targets the Queen, activate her ability immediately. Adjust your Ice Hound deployment based on the situation and use the remaining Revive Spells as necessary. All these steps are followed and you get a three-star!
