Clash Royale Baby Dragon Evolution best decks guide

Fiery spirit!

Since its introduction in Season 75 “Back to Drool” during the September 2025 Update of Clash Royale, Baby Dragon has taken on a fresh new role, and its evolution is quickly finding a place in many decks. Once known as a reliable splash-damage flyer for support, Baby Dragon is now much more than just backup thanks to its evolved form.

Now the focus is on the evolution, which brings the best out of this flying troop. I’ll explore some of the best decks you can use to make the most of the new Baby Dragon Evolution in Clash Royale.

Best Decks for the Baby Dragon Evolution in Clash Royale

The Evolved Baby Dragon keeps its core flying stats but introduces the ability Friendly Drag, creating a gust of wind that speeds up friendly troops by 50% while slowing down enemies by 30%. This effect lasts up to six seconds if the Baby Dragon survives combat, and it can activate once every two cycles.

1. Baby Dragon, Witch, Graveyard, Skeleton King, Poison, Tornado, Guards, Barbarian Barrel

Average Elixir Cost: 3.8

This is an old deck, which has a couple of changes and works like a charm, since we have two Evolutions in Witch and Baby Dragon to make it powerful. The Skeleton King pairs beautifully with Witch and Graveyard to create endless swarm pressure.

The Baby Dragon and Tornado combo is an easy way to give you splash control to defend enemy plays. Guards and Barbarian Barrel are your safety nets, keeping enemy pushes in check and helping cycle smoothly. Test the deck here.

2. Baby Dragon, Lumberjack, Lava Hound, Mega Minion, Flying Machine, Tombstone, Poison, Barbarian Barrel

Average Elixir Cost: 3.9

A more traditional air-heavy Lava Hound deck, this one thrives in slow pushes. The Lava Hound tanks, while Baby Dragon, Mega Minion, and Flying Machine stack up behind for that mega aerial push. Lumberjack adds rage value, too, and if you have his evolution, even better.

Tombstone is your only defensive structure, here for buying time and pulling enemy tanks. Poison is perfect for clearing anti-air units that try to stop your push. Once you build up your air squad behind the Hound, it’s tough for most decks to stop. But do utilise your ground distractions effectively. Copy the deck here.

3. Baby Dragon, Balloon, PEKKA, Lumberjack, Ice Wizard, Vines, Tornado, Zap

Average Elixir Cost: 3.9

Another similar deck like the other two, with a few changes. This one leans into a heavier push style with PEKKA as your defensive wall. Baby Dragon and Ice Wizard pair well with Tornado, and actually come in really handy during the endgame period.

Once you see an opening, drop a Balloon behind Lumberjack or PEKKA to deal with tower damage. Vines, the latest spell, is a really strong alternative for Freeze, so you can make the best of it to support your push. Zap rounds it out as a low-cost defensive spell. Copy the deck here.
