In this game, players are the real owners who have to choose the horse who breeds, trains racing, and attend competitions to win big titles and prices. Derby Stallion masters are similar to an Equestriad World Tour but, here a Players will experience the Japanese horse racing competitions and meet well-known horses from previous Derby Stallion games. Derby Stallion: Masters provides an immersive gaming experience similar to the previous series. The new game is designed for smartphones with a new UI, making it easier to play. Management of the Stud Farm
To enhance the capabilities in stud-farm, a player can cause an increase of fixed expenditure. To balance it, a player needs to arrange the horses to attend suitable matches dependent on the ability to maximize the profit of the stud farm. Players have to Register the best self-bred racing horse on Breeder Cup, then Find and compete with worldwide rivals under the same racing environment. Winners will collect glorious achievements for their stud farm! Here is our guide from the first to the fourth year.
First Year: Breeding Phases
Every first-year player can use the Broodmare (female) and stallion (male) to breed the horse with a breeding opportunity.
- A player has to click on the lower right corner to (raffle) for a breeding event then,
- On the raffle page, a player needs to pay with (golden Horseshoe or Derby friend points) to play in the Derby friend’s stud-horse raffle.
Every raffle will give you breeding (right). After getting the opportunity to breed.
- The player has to return to the farm and then click on the Broodmare.
- A player can also Farm Chief’s suggestion to make a breeding decision.
- After breeding, click on the calendar in the upper right corner to move forward to the next month.
Keep a check on the Broodmare during the month of May to confirm whether the breeding process is successful.
If the breeding fails, a player can try it one more time within the month or if the breeding is successful, a player can move forward with the calendar to the birth of the horse in the following year.
Second Year: Auction and Birth
Auction of Broodmare is held every February, where a player can purchase Broodmares if they want. As the age of every Broodmare will increase the success rate of breeding will automatically decrease. So, if a player has enough funds, then they should consider getting a new Broodmare.
Remember, if your new horse is a mare, a player should consider making it the broodmare when it is retiring. After every one year after breeding, the new horse is born. A player has to give a name or title to indicate the owner of the horse before entering the stable. In addition, a player has to keep an eye on fund consumption if they have a lot of horses, as each horse needs 100,000 fund forage fees per month.
Third Year: Stable and Training
After every one year nine months, the pony will enter the stable, so the player has to make the best-suited stable for it to enter. If a player is facing difficulties in choosing the right stable for the new horse, they can use the Horse Analysis Centre to find out which stable might suit this horse the best.
Remember this analysis might cost funds or golden horseshoes. After entering the stable, a player can train the horse for the upcoming event. There are two options for training:
- Auto training: Giving the horse to a teacher
- Manual training: Self-training
The player can change the training set of the game through a Game setting interface.
In auto training, choosing the right teacher for the horse can increase the possibility of winning the race. The different teachers can turn out to different results and the whole process will be automatic until the time of competition registration. A player can also select the training content separately for the training.
In manual training, there are 2 opportunities to select training content. Click the Description button of each training content to confirm the details. While performing, pay attention to the horse’s health. Don’t force the training, as the beat training and the second training will differ. Sometimes it is important to let the horse rest for a while.
Fourth Year: Race Registration and Racing
In the month of June, there will be the beginners racing for the 2-year-old horse. Register your horses considering the racing length and Racecourse surfaces like Turf and Dirt. In terms of auto training, registrations for the race will be done automatically or a player can choose the race they want to participate in.
In the state of Manual Training, a player need to register for the competition they want to participate in the registration interface. Jockeys can also be selected when registering for the race. The competition will start automatically when it comes to the week of the competition.
If a player wants to watch the game
- Switch the setting from watching the game to show.
- Then it will switch to the right interface.
- If a player doesn’t want to watch the game
- Set the setting to hide
- Then it will jump to the result of the game.
In the paddock interface, a player can watch the horse and the racer list of each horse. The race table will display the information and forecasts of the participating horses, then select the rider’s command in the column of the horse.
- Click on the bar of each horse to see the explanation of the horse’s appearance circle.
- Click on the Go Race button, then the competition will start.
The result will display after the completion of racing. A player can also get comments from the teacher. After winning the championship, a player can challenge the racings for a higher level. Win the race, increase funds, training stronger horses can help the player to dominate all GⅠ’s!
Introducing the Races
During the race, various factors should be kept in minds such as the racecourse surface (turf or dirt), length, location, weather, and horse condition will affect the final result. Taking part in Competitions
There are three types of competition in Derby Stallion Masters
Eight Competition
In this competition, only 3-years horses can participate.
- Competition like Oka Sho and Satsuki Sho in April,
- Japanese Oaks and Japanese Derby in May,
- Kikuka Sho in October.
This is called the Big Five GIs because five major racing allows 3-year-old horses to participate and win the GI’s competition. In Five major competitions and the Tenno Sho Spring, 4 years old and above can participate in May.
- Tenno Sho Autumn 3 years old and above in October,
- Arima Kinen 3 years old and above in December are the eight major competitions.
International GI Japanese Cup
The Japan Cup is held in November that allows foreign horses to compete for the highest prizes in Japan.
Test match
In this type of competition, the first few placed horses can get the corresponding GI priority. For example, in the Yayoi Sho (GII), Wakaba Stakes (Open), and Spring Stakes (GII) held in March, a player can get the priority of the Satsuki Shō (GI) based on the ranking.
