eFootball 2026 is taking a trip back to one of football’s most memorable years with the Epic National Stars 1994 pack. Featuring Romário, Roberto Baggio, and Lothar Matthäus, the pack celebrates three icons who left their mark on the international stage during the 1994 era, with their performances at the World Cup.
So while nostalgia is certainly part of the appeal, the bigger question is whether these versions can still compete with the top options available in eFootball 2026 today. Let’s break down how each card performs, the best progression builds, recommended skills, and whether this National Stars 1994 pack is worth your Coins.
eFootball 2026 Epic National Stars 1994 players
Roberto Baggio
- Position: SS
- Playing Style: Classic No. 10
- Show Time Skill: Momentum Dribbling and Magnetic Feet
Stat-wise, I genuinely think Baggio is the best player in this pack. The dribbling, balance, passing, finishing, pace, and kicking power are all at an extremely high level. There really isn’t a major weakness in the profile. The combination of Momentum Dribbling and Magnetic Feet is what makes this even more lethal.
That sounds absolutely ridiculous on paper, and honestly, it probably will be in-game as well. Competing with cards like Eden Hazard and George Best when it comes to pure ball feel is something you would notice.

The thing people often misunderstand about Classic No. 10 cards is that not all of them are passive. Looking at this profile, Baggio is very much built for attacking involvement. He also isn’t going to waste stamina chasing defenders around all game thanks to this style.
What surprised me most was the physical side. For a smaller technical player, he isn’t weak at all. Combined with Magnetic Feet, that should help him ride challenges much better than people expect. Overall, this looks like an incredible card and probably the standout player in the pack from a pure stat perspective.

Lothar Matthäus
- Position: CMF
- Playing Style: Box-to-Box
- Show Time Skill: Low Screamer and Long Reach Tackle
My favourite CMF is back. I didn’t go for this version myself, but from using previous Matthäus cards, I can comfortably say he remains one of the best midfielders in the game. For me personally, he is still number one.

Compared to the Captain Tsubasa version, this card gets upgrades across the board and remains exactly what made Matthäus so special in the first place: a midfielder who can literally do everything. Excellent passing stats, strong dribbling, good pace, elite stamina, strong defensive numbers, and enough shooting ability to contribute goals regularly.
The Show Time skill combination is the best he could get, as Long Reach Tackle improves his defensive impact significantly, while Low Screamer gives him extra threat from distance. It’s a perfect balance between offense and defense, which is exactly what you want from a Box-to-Box midfielder.
Suggested Skills: Double Touch, Fighting Spirit, Blocker, Sliding Tackle, Heading
Suggested Booster(s): Agility, Duelling

Romário
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Goal Poacher
- Show Time Skill: Phenomenal Finishing and Magnetic Feet
The king of short strikers is back with another absurd card. Romário has always been one of my favourite forwards in eFootball because he simply does things that other strikers can’t. His movement, finishing, balance, and responsiveness are always elite.

This version gets what I consider a major upgrade. The stat panel is basically identical to the Barcelona version, but Willpower has been replaced by Magnetic Feet, and that’s a huge improvement. Given Romário’s small frame, Magnetic Feet feels like the perfect Show Time skill for him.
The entire appeal of Romário has always been how quickly he can turn, receive, and finish in tight spaces, hence Magnetic Feet should make that even better. The lack of height obviously means he won’t dominate aerially, but that’s never been what Romário is about anyway.
Suggested Skills: One Touch Pass, Through Passing, Heel Trick, Marseille Turn, Rising Shot
Suggested Booster(s): Agility, Striker’s Instinct

Should you spin for the National Stars 1994 pack in eFootball 2026
All three picks fall under the SSS tier. What’s stopping me from giving it the full 5/5 is the usability, especially in events where Matthaus doesn’t get the Club affiliation. I know it isn’t a very strong reason, but it is a personal choice that I have followed. Of course, the eFootball League grind is on with these three.
