After the end of FPL 2021/22 Gameweek 15, there has been a lot of share of points with the premium assets delivering huge points. Apart from the popular picks, there are quite a number of players, who have impressed over the weekend with points and underlying stats. The onset of good fixtures along with their form can really turn them into good replacements for the underperforming assets of the fantasy team. All the managers are trying to stabilize their teams with suitable options before the price hikes. In this FPL Gameweek 16 Watchlist 2021/22, we will be looking at 5 Fantasy players, who could become future transfer targets, carrying their good run.

With the completion of gameweek 15, the Watchlist is back to identify players who have caught the eye, based on recent performances and upcoming fixtures. Manchester United, Manchester City, and Spurs are enjoying their smooth fixture while West Ham and Watford just started the long road of favorable fixtures, therefore, we will keep special focus on them.

1. Diogo Dalot (Defender) – 4.4 million

A small gossip has fired up about Diogo Dalot since R. Rangnick arrived at Old Trafford. Rangnick likes to prefer a full-back with more attacking flairs and Wan-Bissaka lacks in that area, therefore, according to Rangnick’s style of playing the Portuguese international suits more than Wan-Bissaka and we have already seen that in last week against Crystal Palace. After the departure of OGS Dalot has started 2 out of 3 matches for Manchester United and offered a clean sheet to the FPL managers. He has taken a total of 2 shots, keeping 1 on target with an average of 2.3 touches per 90, and also created 2 big chances during his game time.

Diogo Dalot has an expected goals figure of 0.06 (xG/90) and an expected assist figure of 0.02. However, created one big chance in each of his last 2 matches. Considering the favorable fixture of Manchester United and the arrival of new manager along with his tactics Dalot can be a great addition to the fantasy team at the price of 4.4 million. 8 of the next 12 fixtures of Man United have been given a difficulty rating of 2 which includes Norwich, Brentford, Newcastle, and Burnley in the next 5 gameweeks.


2. Bernardo Silva (Midfielder) – 7.6 million

Man City cruised to a comfortable 3-1 win over Watford where Bernardo Silva scored twice to maintain his exceptional goal-scoring form. His tally of three shots was given a combined expected goals figure of just 0.15 highlighting the expertise involved in his finishing. Five of Bernardo’s seven goals this season have come during the last five gameweeks where he’s earned a total of 43 FPL points ranking ahead of Salah and only trailing Alexander Arnold.

Only James Maddison has landed more than his seven efforts on target in that time amongst midfielders while only Salah and Jota have exceeded his 2.29 expected goals figure and just four midfielders have offered more than his nine attempted assists. Man City ranks second for goals and expected goals over the last four gameweeks with only Liverpool faring better in the same period. Their upcoming opponents Leeds, Newcastle, and Leicester each rank amongst the bottom six teams for expected goals conceded.


3. Jarrod Bowen (Midfielder) – 6.5 million

Jarrod Bowen sparked a second-half comeback to help West Ham return to winning weights with a 3-2 victory over Chelsea. The 24-year old had already earned the first-half penalty to get his side back in the game when he was brought down by Edouard Mendy. No player during the match took as many as his four shots all of which came from inside the box while only Mason Mount had more touches in the opposition box. Bowen has now played a direct hand in six goals over the last six gameweeks with only Bernardo Silva and Mohamed Salah earning more than his 36 FPL points in that time from midfield.

He ranks third amongst midfielders meanwhile for shots in the box and expected goals only trailing Salah and Diogo Jota. West Ham has matched Man City with 12 goals scored in that time and only Liverpool have managed more. Their fixture list is favorable all the way up until the end of next February with ties against Burnley Norwich and Southampton in the next four gameweeks.


4. Cristiano Ronaldo (Forward) – 12.4 million

Manchester United remain undefeated since the departure of Ole G. Solskjaer after rounding off a positive performance against Crystal Palace with the late winner from Fred. Ralf Rangnick’s first game in charge saw the play with a much higher intensity often winning the ball high up the field and while they struggled to create many clear-cut chances. Cristiano Ronaldo fired a total of 5 shots with no FPL forward managing more during the game over the last two game weeks.

The Portuguese star has produced league-leading tallies of 11 shots with nine in the box and five on target while only Mohamed Salah can better his 1.92 expected goals figure. United trail only Man City for shots on target in that time and ranks sixth-best for expected goals. Eight of their next twelve fixtures have been given a difficulty rating of 2 with west ham the only opponent rated higher than 3.


5. Emmanuel Dennis (Forward) – 5.7 million

Despite losing four out of six matches (he played), Dennis managed to continue his bolster performance. He has only blanked twice in his last six matches and has direct involvement in 8 goals. During that period of time, he scored 4 goals keeping 8 shots-on-target (total shots13) with a non-penalty expected goals figure of 0.39 (xG/90) and provided 4 assists creating 6 big chances with an expected assist figure of 0.23 (xA/90). He is also having an average of 6.5 touches per 90 in the opposition’s penalty area.

Watford is the 3rd best team for goals scored and expected goals, the tally is only bettered by Liverpool and Man City not only that The Hornets are also the 3rd best team for big chance creation in the last four gameweeks. Watford will have quite a favorable fixture from GW16 to GW23, which includes Brentford, Burnley, and Crystal Palace in their next four games.
