Aqua Simulacra has a low base attack when compared to the previously released 5* bows in the game. Its base attack is even lower than some of the 4* bows. But, the biggest highlight of this weapon is its sub-stat, which is crit damage. It has the highest crit damage provided by any weapon, i.e. 88.2%.

Stats and Passive skill

Base LevelLevel 90
Attack44542
Secondary Stat Value(Crit Dmg)19.2%88.2%

Passive: HP is increased by 16%. When there are opponents nearby, the DMG dealt by the wielder of this weapon is increased by 20%. This will take effect whether the character is on-field or not.

Best Characters to use this weapon

Considering the weapon’s passive, it is best for characters that can do off-field damage. This involves the likes of Fischl, Ganyu, and Yelan. This is the best weapon for Yelan as Yelan’s damage is scaled from HP. One can use this weapon on Ganyu if Ganyu is used as a sub-DPS.

Comparision with other 5* weapons

Thundering Pulse

Secondary Stat Value(Crit Dmg)14.4%66.2

This is the only other 5* bow with Crit Damage as a secondary stat. We can see that it has a much higher base attack than Aqua Simulacra and a bit lower crit damage. Its passive grants 20% increased attack and further increases normal attack damage, based on stacks. Hence, Thundering Pulse is a better weapon for Main DPS bow users.

Polar Star

Secondary Stat Value(Crit Rate)7.20%33.1%

Polar Star has a crit rate as a secondary stat. This one also has a base attack, as much as the Thundering Pulse. Crit rate increases damage over time, hence it is also a very important stat. Its passive provides 12% damage in Elemental Skill and Burst, which increases Attack%, based on stacks. Polar Star is also a better weapon for Main DPS than Aqua Simulacra.
