Across the Wilderness is a balloon-collecting event in Genshin Impact that starts on the 3rd of January, 2023, and will be available till the 13th of January, 2023. Genshin Impact Across the Wilderness Event: Prerequisites
- Reach Adventure Rank 20.
- Complete Archon Quest Prologue Act 3 – Song of the Dragon and Freedom.
How to enter the event
- Players should go to the quest menu and navigate the Across the Wilderness event.
- They should teleport to the Mondstadt waypoint and speak to the NPC called Vinkel. Talking to her will unlock the event and reward 20 Primogems.
There will be a board next to Vinkel. This board is the access point of the event. Interacting with the board will bring up the event’s challenges. There are five challenges, the first one is available from day 1 and the following 4 days will unlock the remaining challenges.
Genshin Impact Across the Wilderness Event Guide: Gameplay details
This event aims to collect as many Wilderness Balloons as possible. There are two types of Wilderness balloons. Harvest Balloons are the ones that need to be collected, and count toward the progress. There will be a limited number of these visible at first. Collecting a Sonar Balloon will reveal some Harvest Balloons that can be collected around the player for a short while.
Once the timer ends, the player will be given a score, and rewards will be issued based on that score. Collecting all the balloons are not required to complete a challenge. Every challenge will reward x80 Primogems. Players can bring any characters they want. Bringing Anemo characters like Venti/Kazuha/Xiao could be useful. Characters like Keqing and Albedo could also be helpful.
Across the Wilderness Event: Blessings
Players will need to equip an event-exclusive gadget called the Wilderness Compass to start the challenges. The Wilderness Compass can offer buffs based on which Blessing is selected from the starting menu. Only one Blessing can be selected. The compass needs to be tapped to the Blessing.
The Wilderness Compass requires Energy to be used. The Energy regenerates over time and picking up Harvest Balloons or golden particles will also restore Energy.
There are four types of Blessings:
- Leapbless: Increases the character’s jump height.
- Windbless: Creates a wind current in the vicinity.
- Treasurebless: Increases Wilderness Balloon search radius.
- Scoutbless: Increases character movement speed and Increases Wilderness Balloon search radius.

- Mora
- Hero’s Wit
- Talent level-up materials
- Mystic Enhancement Ore
- 1500 Battle Pass EXP for completing an objective for challenge 5.
