Genshin Impact: Best Team Compositions for Tighnari and Tips

Take your Tighnari’s damage to the next level with these team compositions!

Tighnari is a five-star Dendro character in Genshin Impact and has made his debut in the Sumeru 3.1 update. Tighnari is one of the first Dendro characters to be added to the game and is a powerful character with a myriad of abilities. With the addition of Dendro, existing reactions and teams have gone through drastic changes, and even Tighnari’s kit on his own is complicated not to mention the synergy between various characters. In this guide, players will discuss the best team compositions for Tighnari in Genshin Impact.

How should Tighnari be played to utilize its max potential

Tighnari is best played with Dendro and Electro team compositions, due to his Elemental applications and the ease of his usage in such comps. Electro got a big buff with the addition of Dendro Element along with the modification of  Electro Resonance, leading to new reactions and the creative team plays.

Tighnari being a great Dendro off-field character can make use of his kit to form Quicken reactions with Electro, which adds flat damage to all the attacks, increasing the overall combat capability.

He can be paired in variations like Double Electro, Double Dendro, Dendro + Electro + Flex supports, and even Mono Element combination with Dendro. It is to be noted that all the team comps provided here are subjective and will depend on a lot of factors like the number of enemies, individual energy recharge, environmental factors, character investment, etc. Therefore, players set these teams on their own and modify them to their needs.

Best Team Compositions for Tighnari in Genshin Impact

1. Tighnari Double Electro Team

The main advantage of Double Electro is not only the consistent application of Quicken, but also the fact that most Electro characters have insane off-field damage capabilities like Fischl, Yae Miko, Beidou, Lisa, and even Raiden Shogun to some degree.

The electro resonance reduces the energy issues by generating particles in fixed duration and by playing two characters of the same elements makes the recharging of Elemental Burst much easier to manage. Which results in more comfortable team compositions and also makes character build less focused on ER% and more on the damage.

  • Electro Resonance
  • High Voltage: The skills will be affected by Hydro for 40% less time. Superconduct, Overloaded, Electro-Charged, Quicken, Aggravate, or Hyperbloom have a 100% chance to generate an Electro Elemental Particle (CD: 5s).

Double Electro teams are usually more damage focused and take advantage of the Electro-Dendro reaction Quicken to deal more damage. It is a very powerful team that has high synergy and should work in nearly all types of situations.

The team rotation should be Electro and Hydro first and then later should be Dendro infusion. After that, it should depend on the type of enemy, either Tighnari’s CA or rotation reset. This is just a variation of the possible rotations and you should test these on your own to find the perfect rotation sequence.

2. Tighnari Double Dendro Team

These teams take advantage of the Dendro Resonance to increase the overall damage across all the characters. The addition of the extra Elemental Mastery not only increases the reaction damage but also increases the skill damage of that character since Dendro characters usually scale with EM in one form or another.  Among the currently available characters, players can mostly form teams with Tighnari and MC.

  • Dendro Resonance
  • Sprawling Greenery: After triggering Burning, Quicken, or Bloom reactions, all nearby party members gain 30 Elemental Mastery for 6s. After triggering Aggravate, Spread, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon reactions, all nearby party members gain 20 Elemental Mastery for 6s. The duration of the aforementioned effects will be counted independently.

The Double Dendro team with Tighnari and Dendro MC is a very simple, yet effective team that can help players to clear the game content very easily after a good investment. In this team, the Electro Aura needs to be deployed, such that, it stays on the field for a long time, aside from Yae Miko and Fischl. Players can also use Raiden, but she is better off in her own DPS team.

Usually, in this team, the Electro aura is first deployed by using Yae Miko’s and Fischl’s Elemental Skill and after that the Dendro MC’s Elemental Skill and Burst in that order. Up next, Tighnari can use his Elemental Burst-Skill and finally make use of these Charged attacks to deal damage until the next rotation.

3. Tighnari Dendro Team Variations

The team below works similarly to the first one but also includes the capability to heal and allow for longer survival times. Fischl is probably the best character to pair with Dendro, since she is a powerful Sub-DPS that can deal significant damage and is off-field all the time not to mention her high particle generation.

Double Dendro teams still require extensive testing, since the element got introduced in the game very recently. Moreover, the game only has three Dendro characters as of now, including the MC which severely limits the potential of possible Dendro compositions that could be available in the future.

Tighnari can also be paired up with an Anemo character to spread the damage on a larger scale. Now, Anemo on its own does not react with Dendro but it does react with other elements in the team which would get further enhanced based on the increased Elemental Mastery. This team is also quite strong and should be usable in harder content like Abyss Floor 12.

Players can form more teams comps, focusing on the Dendro Elemental reactions based on the information below:

Dendro-Electro Reactions

  • Electro Quicken: The reaction applies a Quicken aura.
  • Electro Aggravate: The reaction triggered when applying Electro to an entity with the Quicken aura. It adds a Flat DMG Bonus to the attack that triggers this reaction.
  • Dendro Spread: The reaction triggered when applying Dendro to an entity with the Quicken aura. It adds a Flat DMG Bonus to the attack that triggers this reaction.

Dendro-Hydro Reactions

  • Hydro Bloom: The reaction creates a Dendro Core that explodes after 6 seconds, dealing AoE Dendro DMG.
  • Electro Hyperbloom: The reaction triggered when applying Electro to a Dendro Core. The skill transforms the Dendro Core into a homing Sprawling Shot, that deals the increased AoE Dendro DMG in a much smaller AoE.

Dendro-Pyro Reactions

  • Pyro Burgeon: The reaction is triggered when applying Pyro to a Dendro Core. It detonates the Dendro Core immediately, dealing increased AoE Dendro DMG.
  • Pyro Burning: The reaction deals with AoE Pyro DoT and applies Pyro.

That’s all for today’s piece, discussing the best team compositions for Tighnari in Genshin Impact!
