Genshin Impact: Best team compositions for Yae Miko and tips

New team compositions for Yae Miko in Genshin!

Genshin Impact is re-running Yae Miko’s banner at the latest Version 3.2 along with Tartaglia. Yae Miko is a 5-star Electro catalyst character that went playable back in Version 2.5. She is an excellent Sub-DPS where her damage mostly comes off of her Elemental Skill, which can deal the off-field Electro damage with her Sesshou Sakura Totems placed on the ground. In this guide, we will be discussing the best team compositions of Yae Miko in Genshin Impact.

Yae Miko’s Elemental Burst ‘Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin’ deals quick Electro damage and have a high Energy Cost (90), making her rely on other playable characters to help her charge up the Burst. With the added introduction of Dendro and its many reactions, Yae Miko now has some new and exciting team comps to try out that may have very well outclassed and out-META some of her previous teams.

Yae Miko’s Team Synergy: Quick Overview

Yae Miko can act only as a Sub-DPS on all of her team comps, due to how her kit is played out. Her kit is mostly utilized for her Elemental Skill where her Sesshou Sakura totems deal high amounts of Electro damage when activated on the field and can continue to deal damage, even after swapping to another character after Yae Miko.

As for her high amount of Energy Cost from her Elemental Burst, it would be wise to add her up with another character that can funnel her Energy Particles either by pairing her with another Electro Character (For example- Raiden, Fischl) or having any character in the team party use a Favonius Weapon. As she is an Electro unit, her teams can take advantage of Electro-related Elemental reactions such as Electro-Charged, Overload, Catalyze, and Hyberbloom.

Best Team Compositions of Yae Miko in Genshin Impact

1. Mono Electro Team

A mono electro team is a team where Raiden Shogun is the main DPS, Yae Miko is the Sub-DPS and Sara acts as a buffer to boost Electro Damage and Attack. The last slot can be filled with either a Healer or another Buffer in the party.

   Alternatives: Bennett/ Jean
  • Raiden Shogun acts as the main damage dealer in the party, while also actively charging up the Elemental Bursts for every character in the team. Yae Miko would be a quick-swap Sub-DPS character, where she provides off-field Electro Damage with her totems and then deals quick Electro damage with her Burst when it is charged up.
  • Sara, on the other hand, plays the role of boosting attack and also Crit Damage of Electro Damage with her Constellation Six to both Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko.
  • The last slot is very flexible and can be filled with either a Healer (such as Bennett) or an Anemo Support. Kazuha is the most viable out of the rest to fill the last role. Not only can Kazuha provide an Elemental Damage bonus to the party members with his Swirl reaction, but he can also reduce Electro resistance by taking advantage of the four-piece ‘Viridescent Venerer’ set. Furthermore, using Favonius Sword on Kazuha will help with any Energy problems which the party may have.
  • Alternatively, Jean can also be used other than Kazuha for the same reason adding to the advantage that she can provide healing to the party.

2. Yae Miko Hyperbloom Team

  Alternatives: XingqiuAlternatives: Dendro Traveler
  • To quickly summarize, Hyperbloom is a sub-reaction triggered by reacting Bloom (Hydro+Dendro) reactions with Electro. Surprising as it is, Kokomi is acting as the Main DPS in this team composition. She is an amazing Hydro applicator and can create Dendro Cores by using her Elemental Skill and Normal Attacks.
  • Pairing with another Hydro Sub-DPS character like Yelan or Xingqiu can activate the Hydro Resonance (Max HP increased by 20%), which can, in turn, increase Kokomi’s damage. Yelan is a more viable option as she also scales off of HP and hence can take advantage of Resonance.
  • Yae Miko’s role as a Sub-DPS consists of her placing her Sesshou Sakura totems, as it deals damage while also applying Electro and enabling Hyperbloom and Aggravate reactions.
  • The last slot is filled by a Dendro Support that has the role of consistently applying Dendro to trigger the Dendro reactions. Nahida currently is the best Dendro applicator in the game right now, due to her short cool-down of her Elemental Skill. Furthermore, her Burst provides other buffs to herself such as her Tri-Karma Purification trigger interval being reduced. Other Alternatives include Dendro Traveler, although their Dendro application is not as consistent as Nahida’s.

3. Yae Miko Quicken Team

Alternatives: Tighnari
  • In Summary, Quicken reactions are done by adding Electro with Dendro. Afterward, there are two other sub-reactions with Quicken that can be triggered. One of them is Spread, which is done by reacting Catalyze (Electro+Dendro) with Dendro. The other one is called Aggravate, which is triggered with Electro instead.
  • Nahida’s role in this team composition is the Main DPS, where she stays on-field and triggers Quicken reactions such as Spread and Quicken. Her Elemental Skill applies to Dendro. After using the Burst, Nahida will use Normal Attacks to deal big damage to the enemies.
  • Yae Miko and Fischl are both acting as Electro Sub-DPS and would deal Electro damage, while also applying Electro off-field by Yae Miko’s Sesshou totems and Fischl’s Oz. Additionally, Fischl can provide Electro particles to Yae Miko to charge up her high Energy Cost Burst.
  • Lastly, Zhongli fills the role of a Shielder in the party. He can also take advantage of the Hydro Resonance since Zhongli’s Shield scales off of HP. Zhongli is viable to use the four-piece ‘Tenacity of the Millelith’ artifact set, where the attack of all nearby party members is increased by 20% and their Shield Strength is increased by 30% when the Elemental Skill hits any enemies.
  • Alternatively, Fischl can be replaced by Tighnari for enabling Dendro Resonance (Elemental Mastery increases by 50. Elemental reactions related to Dendro increases Elemental Mastery). Tighnari acts as a Sub-DPS, while Nahida goes back to being an off-field Dendro Support.
