Where to find the Sand Grease Pupa in Genshin Impact
Sand Grease Pupa are relatively easy to farm since most of them are located near a teleport waypoint. Bringing characters like Nahida and Tighnari would make farming them incredibly easy. Tighnari can mark their location on the mini-map and Nahida can collect them using the hold version of her elemental skill.
There are around 70 Sand Grease Pupa in the Desert of Hadramaveth and this article will help players collect all of them in Genshin Impact.
Tanit Camps
There are 6 Sand Grease Pupas in the Tanit camps. Simply Travel to the Desert of Hadramaveth Statue of Seven and travel to the North to find them. There will be a few Eremits on the way.
Safhe Shatranj
Teleport to the waypoint and climb the hill to collect 5 Sand Grease Pupa.
Wadi Al-Majuj
Teleport to the waypoint and jump to the opposite cliff to collect 8 Sand Grease Pupa.
Wounded Shin Valley
Teleport to the nearest waypoint and climb the mountain in front of it. Defeat the Fungi on the way to collect 5 Sand Grease Pupa.
The Sands of Three Canals
Teleport to the nearest waypoint and travel towards the South. There are a few Elite enemies and a Primal Construct, so players should come prepared. Defeat the enemies on the way to collect 5 Sand Grease Pupa.
Wenut Tunnels
There are 45 Sand Grease Pupa in this area. Collecting them is very difficult since they are scattered all around interconnected tunnels.
Tips on how to collect them:
- Teleport to the Passage of Ghouls waypoint.
- Glide down the cliff to collect 2 Sand Grease Pupa.
- In the tunnel leading to the cave and inside, there are 12 Sand Grease Pupa.
- Travel towards the Wenut Tunnel waypoint and move along the underground passage to collect 18 Sand Grease Pupa.
- Continue moving toward The Sands of Al-Azif, to collect 4 Sand Grease Pupa.
- Go back and take the Dunes Tunnel.
- Investigating the Rock Pile in the Tunnel will break the ground under the player’s feet
- Glide down the hole.
- Collect 21 Sand Grease Pupa inside the hole’s tunnels.
Uses of Sand Grease Pupa in Genshin Impact
At the moment, only 2 characters in Genshin Impact use Sand Grease Pupa for ascension: Alhaitham and Dehya. Alhaitham was released in version 3.4 and Denhya will be released in version 3.5.
Final Thoughts
Sand Grease Pupa in Genshin Impact respawns every 48 real-world hours. A total of 168 Sand Grease Pupa are required for maximum ascension. Players would need to collect all Sand Grease Pupa around three times to be able to complete a character’s ascensions.
