Best items for Tsareena in Pokémon Unite

Further in this guide, we will discuss the best-held items for Tsareena in Pokémon Unite, as well as its best battle item.

Best Held Items

Defensive Build

The following Held items are suggested based on the gameplay of Tsareena. It benefits from attack stat and critical-hit items like Muscle BandScope Lens, and Razor Claw, turning Tsareena into traditional attack damage carry. Players can try the combo of Muscle BandScope Lens, and Razor Claw when going for an Offensive Jungler type role using Tsareena.

Held Items Uses
Muscle BandThe Pokémon’s basic attacks deal additional damage based on the target’s remaining HP. Attack +15 Basic Attack Speed +7.5% Muscle Band helps Tsareena to do more damage and increases its basic attack speed.
Scope LensCritical-Hit Rate +6% Critical-Hit Damage +12% Increase the damage of basic attack critical hits. The higher the Pokémon’s Attack, the more the damage is increased. Increases Critical Hit Damage and Critical Hit Rate of Tsareena.
Razor ClawAfter it uses a move, its next basic attack deals a minimum of 10 more damage. The higher its Attack, the more this damage increases. When this item is held by a melee Pokémon like Tsareena, their basic attack also decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time.

Offensive Build

On the other hand, since Tsareena’s gameplay revolves around diving in fights and constantly using its moves to deal damage, it’s important to equip Tsareena with durability and survivability items. Players can also play Tsareena like an initiator and use the combo of Focus Band, Score Shield, and buddy Barrier to increase its sustain and durability in teamfights.

Held ItemsUses
Focus BandIncreases overall defense of Tsareena and when its HP drops low, then each second for three seconds, muscle band helps Tsareena recover s% of the HP he has lost.
Score ShieldIncreases overall HP of Tsareena and while attempting to score a goal, grants a shield equal to 7.5% of its max HP and he can’t be interrupted while shielded.
Buddy barrierWhen Tsareena uses UNITE move, Tsareena and its nearby allies will receive shields equal to 30% of their max HP. It’s really helpful in team fights and gives the team an edge over the opponent’s team.

Players after getting a good grasp of Tsareena’s abilities can also make hybrid builds as they seem fit mainly based on the team comp and enemies.

Best Battle items

  1. Eject: Eject helps to get out of difficult situations. Using it on proper situations to avoid getting killed by enemies as Tsareena or finishing of fleeing opponents. Tsareena has a few movement dash abilities under its sleeve so save Eject for dire situations only.
  2. Full Heal: Tsareena is weak against crowd control and its Triple Axel skill can also be cancelled by cc hence using full heal in certain situations will remove all effects on Tsareena making it immune to CC.
  3. Fluffy Tail: Prevents wild Pokémon from acting and increases their damage taken by 1.5 times. It can be used to take down objectives faster and gaining a lead.

Pokémon Unite Tsareena Gameplay Tips

Our Pokémon Unite Tsareena guide includes the perfect game plan for the early and late game during Unite battles.

Early game

It is highly recommended to farm in the jungle on the start to quickly evolve to Tsareena. Tsareena is an all-rounder, so it can play both offense and defense. Depending on the role, players need to choose a lane with either a defender for offense or an offensive character for defense.

Tsareena in Pokémon Unite: Early game

The early game of Tsareena is quite strong thanks to the early evolutions and its passive however it is also quite squishy. Don’t force fights solo and focus on farming.

Late game

Late in the game, Tsareena needs to play more of its teammates as it is not that durable, can be shut down fast if focused. Tsareena also is weak against heavy crowd control Pokémons and has a tough time dealing with them.

Pokémon Unite Tsareena: Tips, tricks and strategies

  • At Level 1 pick Razor Leaf, as it is the best move since it deals area damage compared to Rapid Spin. This will let you farm faster and gain experience to quickly level up.
  • In the early game it’s always better to play safely at the beginning to ensure level progression won’t get delayed. Hence, try sticking teammates as Bounsweet is pretty squishy and can be burst down fast alone.
  • Steenee’s power spike hits when it reaches level 5, so focus on farming Wild Pokémon at the earlier stages of the game and get that much needed EXP and avoid forcing unnecessary fights.
  • At Level 5 players can either pick Stomp when the team needs crowd control and burst damage. Players can go with Triple Axel if they want more mobility to gank targets and stealing objectives.
  • At level 6, players get to choose a dash move between Trop Kick & Glassy Glide. The former lets Tsareena deal damage to anyone hit by its flying kick and slow them down. The latter, although quite similar, attacks targets from a different direction and shoves them. Consider adjusting the 2nd move depending on preferred style.
  • Triple Axel can be cancelled by other moves. This is a make or break the game type move, so players must make sure to avoid cancelling it accidentally!

Final Thoughts

Tsareena is a pretty strong All-Rounder champion as of right now. It can pretty easily be in the S-Tier among other All-Rounder Pokémons along with Lucario. Its early evolutions give it quite the head start in the early game. It has good crowd control skills as well for disabling enemy champions. Though it is quite squishy and not as durable as other all-rounders, it has lots of survivability mechanics. Tsareena will surely be able to dominate the meta for a while from now onwards.
