PUBG: New State is the futuristic style multiplayer online battle royale video game developed by PUBG Studios and published by Krafton. It is the second installment in the PUBG Universe, as a sequel to PUBG Battlegrounds. It has no connections or relations with the original PUBG Mobile, which has been developed by Tencent. The game had been announced earlier this year. Krafton successfully conducted two alpha tests and a technical test before the final release. The game will feature everything from the original PUBG, but with a futuristic twist and some unique features. There are a total of two battle-royale maps, one Team Deathmatch map, and a training ground for practicing. The game is set in the year 2051 on Erangel, which is the first-ever map from PUBG. Other than that, a brand-new map called Troi where most of the PUBG Universe lore happens. In this PUBG New State article, we will see top camping and hot drop locations from Troi and some of their unique attributes. Please note that all the images are from the final technical test. Some places may vary in the final release.
The Troi Map
Troi is an 8×8 km map, similar to Erangel. The main island is divided into three parts. One big island and two small islands each are connected with bridges. There are a total of 22 locations where players can land. But out of those these, five spots stand out. For the most part, loots are somewhat balanced in Troi.
But these camping and hot drop locations in the Troi map will give some advantage in early as well as the end game in PUBG New State. Most locations in Troi have some similarities with the other PUBG maps. Although, some spots are very unique and can provide some advantages during the game.
Best Hot Drops in the Troi Map
Hot dropping simply means jumping into action immediately after landing on the map. This type of gameplay is filled with intense action from the start. The majority of the players will land here and early fights will be very intense. Players should be able to use any type of gun thrown at them to survive. One main thing that affects hot drops is the flight path. Players have to choose the location based on the flight path. Here are some of the hot drop locations from the Troi map in PUBG New State.
1. Mall
The Mall has been the most preferred location for many players from the Alpha test. The mall is a huge space which mainly consists of two buildings, one of which is the actual mall and the other is a building. The mall also has an accessible rooftop. The weapons spawn on top of the rooftop as well so players can get a weapon and start the fight almost after jumping.
In general, loots in the mall seem to be good. Players can easily find almost any type of gun. Inside the mall, there are several shops where players can find some loot or hide out until the enemies leave if they cannot secure loot.
The mall also has escalators which play a huge role during fights. These escalators are functional. So, if players use the wrong escalator to move up or down, it will reduce their movement speed significantly. This is our number one choice for hot drop mainly, on where this is located on the map.
The mall is almost in the center of the map, which makes it easier to reach regardless of the flight path. Players can also easily travel to different spots after surviving the early game because of its location. The vehicles spawning around the mall seem to be pretty decent. Players can easily find if they decide to flee or leave after clearing the area.
2. Exhibit Hall
It is a very similar structure to the mall. Located a few hundred of meters from the mall, the exhibit hall is surrounded by two towns and a small hill. From the top, the exhibit hall looks like a bullseye. The exhibit hall has an open roof. So, players can just jump in. Just like the mall, the exhibit hall has escalators too. It also has small exhibit rooms where players can loot or hide just like the mall.
The thing that separates the exhibit hall from the mall is the two vehicles that are spawned inside. The Nova is a very fast electric car with two seats. The other one is the lightning, which is an electric bike. Players can use it to their advantage. One must be careful because it can be a little difficult to navigate the vehicle out from the building. The reason why this is placed is because of its positioning on the map.
Though the exhibit hall is the center of the map, it is slightly placed at the upper right of the map. This can be difficult to reach if the flight route is not favorable. Nevertheless, the action here is similar to the mall.
3. Trailer Park
Our third pick is the Trailer park. Home to the biker gang from the Troi, this place is filled with trailers. Loots can be found on the top as well as the inside of the park. Players can land and get straight into the action. Players can use the trailer as cover and take down the opponents. Just like the exhibit hall, the trailer park spawns a vehicle. The vulture is a gasoline bike. This is the fastest bike in-game. Though the acceleration is a bit slow, once the bike picks up, players can cruise through the Troi.
There are also ramps placed in the trailer park. Players can escape in style if things get out of hand. This is the third location on our list, because of its positioning on the map. The trailer is located almost in the upper region of the map. If the flight route does not favor, it can be difficult to reach.
Best Camping spots in the Troi Map
If hot dropping is not your cup of tea, then camping might be suitable. Camping essentially means dropping far away from the flight route, so that lesser players can be encountered. This is the best method for pushing ranks. The main objective of the Battle Royale game is to survive. Therefore, there is nothing wrong with camping. Here is our pick of the locations which could be suitable for camping in PUBG New State.
1. City Hall
Located on the bottom island is a town, where the main city hall is present. It is in the middle, surrounded by shops and houses. Outside the city hall, there are protesters tents, broken cars, and a vandalized statue symbolizing the past of Troi. The loot here is really good compared to other nearby towns. Players can loot outside the city hall, as well as the inside. There are also several buildings where players can find ample loot.
If all other players drop in, players can use the nearby buildings to loot and fight or flee. If the zone favors this place, players can camp inside the buildings to easily take out enemies. Another advantage is that players can easily navigate to different parts of the map. This is since the city hall is connected to all the parts of the map.
2. Lab
It is located on the top right of the map. Secluded from most, the lab is the best spot for campers. The lab is very huge with many floors. Each floor features automatic doors, different rooms, and long corridors. There is only one way to enter the lab.
That entrance also has an intruder alarm which sets off an alarm, when someone tries to enter. If the zone does not favor, players can use the vehicles spawned in the parking lot. Unlike the Exhibit hall or Trailer parks, the vehicle spawning is random, but players can mostly find electric vehicles.
