Honkai: Star Rail is introducing the Phase 2 banner, featuring Anaxa and Dr. Ratio in Version 3.2. HoYoverse released a dual banner featuring one newly released character and one re-run character.
We will assess each character’s strengths and qualities in the future meta of the game and advise on who you should prefer to pull from the four playable characters. Phase 2 Banners will go live on the 30th of April, 2025, and will last till the 20th of May, 2025.

- Follow-Up Attack Mechanic: Triggers high-damage follow-ups based on enemy debuffs—strong synergy with debuff-based teams.
- Accessible Utility: Skill grants a 40–100% chance (depending on enemy debuffs) to trigger follow-ups, adding burst potential.
- Great in FUA Teams: Works well with Aventurine, Topaz, or March 7th (Hunt) —any character who layers FUA helps Ratio shine.
- Pure Fiction Viability: His follow-up attacks and consistent damage make him a decent pick for high-speed content formats.
- No Light Cone Requirement: Unlike Anaxa, Ratio works fine without a premium light cone.
- Eidolons Exist for Fans: If you enjoyed him as a free unit, pulling duplicates (E1/E2) can slightly boost performance, though not essential.
Who should you pull for in HSR version 3.2 Phase 2
If you’re a veteran who already claimed Dr. Ratio during his free event, the recommendation is straightforward: skip Dr. Ratio unless you’re a collector or a die-hard fan. His Eidolons offer modest upgrades but are not worth the Stellar Jades, especially given his overall power ceiling. Even if you missed him, he’s now widely considered a “placeholder” Hunt unit. If you’re choosing between the two and care about long-term value and gameplay diversity, pull for Anaxa. Save your Jades for newer Hunt units or high-tier damage dealers unless Ratio’s playstyle is your favorite.
