Best Matrices Build for Huang in Tower of Fantasy

Huang’s –-piece matrix increases final damage, with bonus skill damage when you use Huang’s hold attack working in the off-hand. The her-piece effect increases all elemental damage when you have at least one-volt weapon equipped, with bonus crit dmg after using Huang’s skill or discharge.

Huang’s matrix is comparable in strength to Rubilia’s, though it offers a much more generic value in raw buffs, while Rubilia’s extra thorn is passive damage that may not be fully realized against mobs that move around.  Fiona’s matrix is still powerful and all other options beyond that are fairly weak in comparison. A standard main DPS set on Huang still does better than other limited sets. Let’s look at the recommended matrices for Huang Guide in Tower of Fantasy.

Huang Matrix (SSR)

  • 2-piece set: Increase final damage by 7% / 8% / 9% / 10%. After Azura’s shockwave lands a hit, increase skill damage by 15% for 30 seconds. This set effect works in the off-hand slot, only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.
  • 4-piece set: When equipped with at least 1-volt weapon, increase all elemental damage by 14% / 17% / 20% / 23%. After using Azure Moon / Soaring Dragon, increase crit damage by 6% for 30 seconds. This set effect works in the off-hand slot, only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.

Rubilia Matrix (SSR)

  • 2-piece set: Increase volt ATK by 14.5% / 16.5% / 18.5% / 20.5%. This set effect works in the off-hand slot, and only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.
  • 4-piece set: Increase Crystamax thorn limit to 6. Increase all elemental damage by 13% / 16% / 19% / 22% when a volt weapon lands an attack, lasting for 30 seconds. This set effect works in the off-hand slot, only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.

Fiona Matrix (SSR)

  • 2-piece set: After dealing damage, increase ATK by 16% / 18% / 20% / 22% for 30 seconds. This effect does not stack. Only the effect with the highest star rating is applied when obtained repeatedly.
  • 4-piece set: While Benediction Resonance is not active, after using the Scatter Technique, increase final damage by 17% / 19% / 21% / 23% for 20 seconds. While Benediction Resonance is active, after using Scatter Technique, increase final damage for self and teammates by 8.5% / 9.5% / 10.5% / 11.5% for 20 seconds. Final damage is additionally increased based on a base attack by (Base ATK/10,000)%, up to 5%. This Matrix’s effect is also active in the off-hand slot, but only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.

Fenrir Matrix (SSR)

  • 2-piece set: Increase crit damage by 14%/15%/16%/18%. This effect does not stack. This Matrix’s effect is also active in the off-hand slot, but only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.
  • 4-piece set: When dealing volt damage, increase final damage by 2.8% for 10 seconds, stacking up to 5/6/7/8 times. This Matrix’s effect is also active in the off-hand slot, but only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.

Tian Lang Matrix (SSR)

  • 2-piece set: Every time volt damage is dealt, there is a 40% chance of triggering chain lightning, dealing damage equal to 50%/65%/90%/120% of volt ATK to up to 7 targets. Cooldown: 2 seconds. Every time chain lightning is triggered, increase volt damage by 6% for 6 seconds (chain lightning will not trigger attack effects). This effect cannot be stacked. This Matrix’s effect is also active in the off-hand slot, but only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.
  • 4-piece set: Every time a volt weapon’s skill or discharge skill is used, increase volt damage by 12%/14%/16%/18% for 15 seconds. This effect cannot be stacked. This Matrix’s effect is also active in the off-hand slot, but only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.

Best Team Comps for Huang in Tower of Fantasy

Since Huang is a Volt weapon with both offensive and tank capabilities, you can pair her off with other Weapons that are Volt to utilize the Volt Resonance. Her teams are centered towards Volt-based teams with some Altered Simulacrums in the middle.

Huang + Fiona + Rubilia

Fiona will use her Wellspring and Hydro Focus, using Fiona’s trait. Torrential Force is the preferred use if you do not meet the HP requirements for Wellspring.  Start off with Fiona’s Discharge and Skill, followed by that of Rubilia, while using Couant to prepare for the burst window. Dodge cancel Rubilia’s Skill to proc Feedback and her Ai and then swap to Huang and drop both charges of her Skill, making sure to pop Overdrive Shot after the first charge. Use Huang’s hold attack until COuant has just a few seconds left on its cooldown. Make sure to never use Huang’s Skill off cooldown as that will waste Overdrive Shot.

Huang + Fenrir + Rubilia

Use Huang’s skill charges under Couant, which should be prioritized to cover Rubilia’s Skill windows, so hold Huang’s charges as necessary. Make sure Fenrir’s Songworld is up at all times. Use Rubilia’s skill off cooldown and use Huang’s hold attack to fill downtime.
