KRAFTON, the South Korean video game company announced that Indian players will be able to qualify for the official PUBG Mobile program of the 2022 Asian Games via Battlegrounds Mobile India. This will allow Indian gamers the privilege and opportunity to compete at the event for medals.
I’m glad that PUBG Mobile is selected as the official medal event at the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, which will be an opportunity for people from all over Asia to come together as one. A new version of PUBG Mobile to be introduced at Asian Games 2022
After the announcement of three mobile titles as a medal event in the Asian Games, it was unclear which version of PUBGM is going to be featured in the event as it stated “Asian Games Version”. But after the announcement from KRAFTON, it is clear that the event will feature a special version of PUBGM. Besides, BGMI players will be able to participate via the Indian version which is a big relief for the players as they’ll feel comfortable and become confident.
Publisher KRAFTON is developing a new version of PUBG Mobile that is specially made for the upcoming event at Hangzhou. The company has separate versions of the main IP in some countries. For example, China has its version of PUBGM named Peacekeeper Elite (Game For Peace) while India has BGMI and PUBGM KR is for Korea.
The 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China is scheduled to take place in 2022. Eight esports titles will make their debut as an official medal sport in the event where three of them i.e. Arena of Valor, Dream Three Kingdoms 2, PUBG Mobile are the mobile titles to be played.
