Gameloft‘s latest trademark filing hints at the next mainstream Asphalt racing game, titled Asphalt Legends Unite. It has been nearly five years since the last major Asphalt racing game, except the Netflix exclusive Asphlt Xtreme that launched in November 2021.
2018 launched Asphalt 9: Legends was the last mainstream Aspahlt game that we the fans got from Gameloft, now it looks like we’ll get the next iteration of the famous racing series that made our childhood awesome. in 2021, Gameloft also announced Asphalt Nitro 2 for low-end devices but since then we have not heard anything officially. And if you do not know already, this hit series has already surpassed one billion downloads in April 2021.
Asphalt Legends Unite trademark reveals details
Gameloft SE, headquartered in Paris, applied for the trademark for this new Asphalt game on January 9th, 2023, and at the time of writing this article, it is still under verification. A new domain with AspahltLegendsUniteDotCom was also registered from France, however, it is not yet functional.
In a news tip provided to us by X (formerly Twitter), user @Kurakasis reveals these basic details. I have verified the details on my end and can confirm that this is the next Asphalt racing game. However, whether it will be a Netflix exclusive (like the previous game) or going to be a regular game is still unknown.
Asphalt Legends Unite going to be a vibrant game
After analyzing the trademarked logo, it seems that this new game will be a vibrant and colorful title. The “UNITE” part gives a similar vibe to NFS Unbound. As of now, we do not have any details regarding the release. If things go well the official should not be far away and we should get some official confirmation in the first quarter of 2024. And if we are lucky we should be able to get our hands on Asphalt Legends Unite by the end of this year.
