BGMI completes its one year anniversary in India with a resounding success!

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) completes its one year of release with an embarking success registering more than 100 million users on Android and iOS devices. The most popular battle royale PUBG was essentially banned in India in September 2020 and returned with a new name in the following year for its Indian fans.

South Korea-based organization Krafton had taken the initiative of relaunching an Indian version of PUBG. BGMI was finally released on July 2, 2021. Since then BGMI became the talk of the town and the creators claimed that BGMI has now become the most popular battle royale in India. Krafton takes extreme pride in themselves revealing the game had hit more than 100 million registered users.

Krafton celebrates BGMI’s 1st anniversary crossing 100 million users

BGMI successfully completed its one year of being the most loved game in India. During this one year, Krafton organized many India-themed collaborations, major tournaments, and larger prize pools and celebrated many India-centric events. In February 2022, Krafton announced organizing four major tournaments with a prodigious prize pool of six crore INR with many Indian famous teams participating in the PUBG Mobile Global Tournaments.

“BGMI’s first year has been a resounding success with millions of players joining to experience the game. We have brought in major tournaments, Indian themed collaborations, and celebrated India centric events with the community with a goal in curating a gameplay unique to our Indian users,” He further added that India is an important market for Krafton and that their focus is always pivoted towards elevating the gaming experience.

Last Year, Krafton stated that it has invested nearly 100 million USD in improving India’s local video game, Esports, and entertainment startups to build a healthy gaming start-up ecosystem.
