Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2023: Teams, Format, Prize Pool, and more

Get ready for the season 2!

KRAFTON announced the second season of Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2023 a few days earlier. The much-anticipated tournament is home to the fan-favorite and popular teams that are the faces of BGMI esports in India.

The announcement came up suddenly on several social media handles of KRAFTON. This year’s event will commence with a lower prize pool than the first season while the number of teams are increased from 24 to 96. However, from the 22nd of November 2023 to the 17th of December, the event will feature all the big organizations under one roof of BMPS 2023.

The previous installment of the BMPS series took place in mid-2022 where Team SouL emerged as the champions and wore the glorious crown. The most popular team in India was way ahead of the other with nearly a 100-point gap from the runner-up in Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series (BMPS) Season 1.

BMPS 2023: Schedule and Format

BMPS 2023 will start sailing on the 22nd of November 2023 with the first batch of 48 teams. The teams will be under group Blue to start in week 1. The initial stage is called the League stage which will run for three weeks. The rest of the 48 teams will be named as group Red. Each group will play separately in this league stage where a round-robin format will be followed.

Five matches will commence in a day in several maps of BGMI. Each team will play 15 matches in this three-week-long stage. Later, the top 16 will jump to the grand finals. The number of matches that will be played in the grand finals has not been revealed yet. However, the event will close its veil on the 17th of December 2023 after crowing the champion.

BMPS 2023: Participating Teams and Prize Pool

As mentioned earlier, a total of 96 teams will take part in the event for a prize pool of ₹10,000,000 (almost $120,000). All the teams aren’t revealed yet and we’ll update you with the teams that will play in the grand finals. Thus, keep following to know the grand finalist teams.

The distribution of the prize pool of BMPS 2023 is still unknown. However, the champion team will receive a total of ₹4,000,000. All the matches of this event will be streamed live on the official YouTube channel of KRAFTON INDIA ESPORTS. The grand finals will be held offline.

Despite the elimination of certain seasoned clubs, the imminent clash in the finals is set to unfold among the top 16 teams. This prestigious event is scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, from December 15, 2023, to December 17, 2023, with a substantial prize pool of ₹1 crore at stake.
