In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Krafton India has announced the much-awaited version 2.9 update for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), which stars the legendary Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. BGMI’s 2.9 Update makes Ranveer Singh, the game’s brand ambassador, a playable character, allowing BGMI players to fully immerse themselves in the charismatic aura of the star.
In keeping with Krafton India‘s goal of producing localized content for the Indian gaming community, BGMI offers players a plethora of exciting features that draw inspiration from the persona of Ranveer Singh. The updates include the Ranveer Singh discovery event, the Ranveer Singh crate, and a Play and Win event, which allows players to win prizes that embody the star’s persona.
These prizes include two playable 3D avatars of the actor, RS Dark Stealth and RS Swaggy Baba, which lend the actor’s distinct charm to the virtual battlefields. In addition, the extensive collaboration introduces emotes that draw inspiration from the actor’s well-known dance moves and his voice pack.

Ranveer Singh Special Crate
Apart from the two 3D Ranveer Singh avatars, the RS crate introduces emotes inspired by superstar Ranveer Singh’s dance moves – Swagster Groove emote, Swagster Tathad emote, Swagster Sway emote, Swagster Twirl emote as well as a special voice pack.
The RS Crate also includes items such as RS Swaggy Buggy, RS Fury -M249 upgradable gun skin, RS Dhamaka (grenade skin), RS Pan-cho (pan skin), along with other rewards like ornaments, space gifts. The RS crate can be opened by spending UC, the in-game currency, for drawing rewards. The price for 1 draw is 60 UC but the first draw of the day is available at 30 UC.
Ranveer Singh Discovery event
In the RS Discovery event, players can earn points by playing Classic mode matches. There are 50 stages in the event (a player needs to collect 100 points to unlock the next stage, so they will have 5000 points by stage 50), and players can earn rewards like parachutes, space gifts, ornaments, and more. The event runs from December 1 to January 25, giving players more time to participate and rack up points.
Play and Win event
In the game called “Play pure with Ranveer Singh,” players can accomplish a variety of tasks and gather RS tokens that can be exchanged for permanent rewards in an Exchange center. The activities include playing as Ranveer Singh, Pure Showdown, teamwork, Pure Speed, and daily logins.
