- Skystone Games, a trusted California-based publisher known for its single-player titles, will now manage these games in the U.S.
- MLBB is offering exclusive New App rewards in the U.S., including Crystal of Aurora, Random Elite Skin, and more.
- MLBB devs announced a migration, launching Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.US on Android on March 27, with iOS coming soon.
ByteDance has announced to transfer of publishing rights for its gaming titles, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), and Mobile Legends: Adventure (MLA), two of MOONTON Games’ biggest titles, as well as Marvel Snap to Skystone Games for the U.S servers.
This decision comes after the recent bans imposed by the U.S. government on MLBB, Marvel Snap, and several other games. However, these games returned to online app stores in the US on January 21, 2025, thanks to President Trump’s administration.
BydeDance transfers the publishing rights for its popular titles in the U.S to a local publisher without selling
In the latest development, MLBB, MLA, and Marvel Snap will now be published by Skystone Games for U.S. servers. Skystone Games, a California-based trusted local game publisher, is best known for its single-player games, such as Undying, Land Above Sea Below, Maniac, and more.
Contrary to speculations, ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, has opted not to sell MOONTON Games or any of its assets. Instead, ByteDance has now shifted its publishing rights to Skystone Games without any sale. This also applies to Marvel Snap, all now to be published by Skystone in the U.S. region.
MLBB, among other titles, will be published by Skystone Games, with a migration process in progress
MLBB team announced these changes for the U.S server in a transition notice on Facebook, stating, “To ensure a stable and sustainable gaming experience, we will be transitioning MLBB’s publishing operations in the U.S. to Skystone.“
Moreover, the devs revealed plans for a migration process for both Android and iOS. Following the announcement, the current version of MLBB will be removed from the Google Play Store on March 27, 2025, with the new version, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.US, releasing on the same day.
For iOS users, the team is working with Skystone to accelerate the App Store’s approval process. Once approved, you will be notified via in-game announcement and more. Plus, you can claim exclusive rewards by binding your account to the current app, and you can keep playing during the removal period.
This is great news for the MLBB North America Community, considering they won’t have to face similar issues in the future, now that the game will be published by a local publisher. The same happened in India too, with the game returning as MOBA Legends 5v5 via Vizta Games on Google Play Store and App Store.
