Clash of Clans, just like they have done in the past years, are once again conducting a time-specific event in the game followed by a Clan Games to commemorate the Year of the Rabbit or the 2023 Lunar New Year. It is one of the events in the game’s calendar that usually garners more attention due to the number of gifts and other unique game features that come with this mode once every year during the Chinese New Year. In a recent tweet, the official Twitter handle of Clash of Clans revealed the rewards one could get from participating in Lunar Clan Games.
2023 Lunar New Year Clan Games rewards
Yesterday, Clash of Clans initially tweeted a list of rewards for those taking part in the Clan Games as part of the Chinese New Year or the Lunar New Year event. But soon afterward the official handle of the game made yet another tweet apologizing and stating that the last tweet was not an accurate list of rewards. With the said tweet, they have also attached a revised list of the rewards with some changes for some tiers.
Although there has been no disclosure as to why the gifts were changed from what the initial list had in it, the player base did not receive the new gifts well. The players took to openly criticize the rewards being offered for the Lunar New Year event and did not hold back on letting their thoughts known.
Some even mentioned this as “one of the worst clan games” due to the subpar quality of the tier rewards. The revised list of rewards not only has less return than the original list but also lacks several artifacts.
Besides the various rewards such as Elixir boosts, Gems, coin boosts, etc. from the Clan Games, the Lunar New Year event also has other events such as the Lunar New Year challenge 2023. And of course, you will receive gifts from them as well.
Conclusion
Supercell seems to have missed the bullseye with the ongoing Lunar New Year event. Although there are not many complaints regarding the event itself, the general dissatisfaction is caused by the quality of the rewards of the said event. Will Supercell rectify the issues addressed or just move on as it is? It remains to be seen how the company responds to the player’s demands.
