The festive season is almost here but Clash Royale has arrived at the party early announcing the Clashmas update. The annual update based on the holidays will bring new rewards, balance changes, and free gifts for everyone. The Clashmas rewards are currently live in Clash Royale, while the balance changes will be made live on December 7th, 2021 post a maintenance break.
One of the highlights of this update is that this season will have one boosted card per week instead of just one card for the whole month. Giant Snowball, Hog Rider, Barbarians, and Inferno Tower will be boosted.
New Pass Royale rewards in Clash Royale Clashmas Update
The Season 30 of Pass Royale will bring new rewards to pass royale. Players who purchase Pass Royale will get the usual unlimited free tries in special challenges, chest queue options, and lastly the glowing golden name. The special rewards for this season are :
- 1 x Book of Books
- 1 x Magic Coin
- 2 x Chest Keys
- 4 x Trade Tokens
- Common, Rare and Epic Wildcards
- 1 x Legendary Wildcard
- 40k Gold and Bonus Bank Gold ( Up to 25,000 Gold)
- Exclusive Archer Queen Tower Skin and Emote
However, the F2P players don’t need to be disappointed as they will have the opportunity to gain free rewards as follows :
- 1 x Legendary Book of Cards (Magic Item) at Tier 35 of Free Pass.
- 1 x Royal Wild Chest
- 10 x Epic Wild Cards
- 20 x Rare Wild Cards
- 50 x Common Wild Cards
- 2 x Chest Keys
- 1 x Legendary Wild Card
However, do remember that the above rewards will be available to players that are Arena 7 or above. Pass Royale holders can also collect the free rewards.
Balance Changes in the Clash Royale Clashmas Update

| Furnace (Rework) | Duration: 49 seconds to 33 seconds. Increase in spawn rate from 7 seconds to 6 seconds. Hitpoints decreased by 17%. 1 extra fire spirit spawns on death. |
| Goblin Hut (Rework) | Duration: 40 seconds to 31 seconds. Increase in spawn rate from 4.5 seconds to 4 seconds. Hitpoints decreased by 17%. |
| Barbarian Hut (Rework) | Duration: 50 seconds to 40 seconds. Increase in spawn rate from 12.5 seconds to 10 seconds. Hitpoints decreased by 15%. |
| Tombstone (Rework) | Duration: 40 seconds to 30 seconds. Spawn rate decreased to 3.3 seconds from 3.1 seconds, two skeletons spawn instead of one. Hitpoints decreased by 17%. |
| Ice Wizard (Rework) | Ice Wizard now has a deploy effect, applying a slow effect on troops and does slight damage. |
| Executioner (Buff) | Hitpoints increased by 5%. |
| Rascals (Buff) | Hitspeed increased by 9%. |
| Dart Goblin (Buff) | Damage increased by 9%. |
| Battle Ram (Buff) | Connection damage increased by 8%. |
| Goblin Cage (Nerf) | Cage Hitpoints decreased by 23%. |
| Mother Witch (Nerf) | Hitpoints decreased by 18%. |
| Tesla (Nerf) | Hit speed decreased by 9%. |
| Fire Spirit (Nerf) | Jump Range down to 2,000 from 2,500. |

To celebrate Clashmas, Supercell is giving away 12 free rewards starting from December 14th, 2021 in this Clash Royale Clashmas update. The rewards are as follows :

- December 17 – Giant Chest
- December 18 – 2000 Gold
- December 19 – 80 Rare Wild Cards

Upcoming Challenges and Global Tournaments in Clash Royale
Throughout the month of December 2021, players will have different challenges to participate in.
- December 6th to 10th – Classic Draft Challenge
- December 11th to 15th – Royal Tournament
- December 16th to 19th – Rage Tournament
- December 20th to 23rd – Touchdown Draft Challenge
- December 24th to 27th – Mega Deck Challenge
Moreover, Clash Royale players, on winning the Mega Deck Challenge, will get access to the exclusive Spooky Hog emote available in the game.
