Coin Master crosses $2 Billion revenue in lifetime player spending

Social mobile game Coin Master has crossed $2 billion in revenue in lifetime player spending reveals the latest report by Sensor Tower. This comes after it achieved magnificent growth during the pandemic hit year. Launched in 2016 by Moon Active, Coin Master started to taste success after 2018. In 2019, it added $539.6 million and broke its own record by accumulating $1.2 billion in 2020. That was a huge 122.4 percent up from 2019.

Coin Master crossed $2 Billion revenue

According to Sensor Tower, November and December 2020 was the best month for Coin Master as it collected $118 million. That was an impressive increase of 92.7 percent year-over-year. It’s grown by more than 87 percent if we compare the data from January 2020 to that of 2021. This shows the people aren’t only downloading the game but also spending a lot.

The reason behind Coin Master’s growing lifetime revenue

Coin Master is a free-to-play, single-player, casual mobile game which is pretty simple for beginners as well. The objective of Coin Master is to win coins to upgrade items in order to build up villages. Coin Master is one of the important games under the Casino category on mobile. It was no. 2 fastest growing genre for player spending among the top 100 titles in the U.S. last year, according to Sensor Tower Taxonomy.

Country-wise revenue

Gamers in the United States massively helped the developer as Coin Master crossed $2 Billion in revenue. It tops the list of the highest revenue-generating countries for Coin Master. In the US, the game generated a whopping $1 billion in player spending that’s half of its overall revenue. Germany ranked No. 2 with approximately $214 million of all player spending, followed by the United Kingdom with close to $160 million.

If we talk about total downloads, Coin Master has been downloaded 194.8 million times. Here also the U.S ranks No. 1 with 39.5 million downloads, i.e., a fifth of overall downloads. Interestingly, India ranks No. 2 in downloads whereas it’s nowhere close to the top 3 countries in terms of revenue generation. It accounted for 30.7 million downloads followed by Brazil with 20.2 million downloads. This results in average revenue per download for the game at approximately $10.31. If we analyze the report, we can witness the game crossing $3 billion it continues to generate revenue at this rate.
