The classic Delta Force game is coming back after almost 25 years as Delta Force: Hawk Ops. But this time the game is coming with a massive change, featuring modern gameplay, and cross-platform facility for Mobile, PC, and Consoles while staying true to its core. The game was already revealed for China last month and now it is teased for the global audience. A full reveal for Delta Force: Hawk Ops is scheduled on this year’s Gamescom Opening Night LIVE on August 22nd.
Delta Force: Hawk Ops will feature both Campaign and Multiplayer
The original Delta Force was known for its absolute ‘tip of the spear’ shooting and the core gameplay is expected to provide the same experience in this new title as well. In an interview with IGN, the game’s producer Shadow Guo revealed that “Our objective is to uphold the authentic essence of the original Delta Force game while infusing a near-future flavor from both artistic and narrative perspectives.”
As a Producer Mr. Guo’s first game was Delta Force and he mentioned the long-lasting impact the game had on him. The developers at TiMi Studios are working on developing the game and they’re creating a captivating storyline that has a fair balance of realistic gameplay, photogrammetry for 3D world creation, and tactical military movements. The development team has also taken help from Special Forces personnel to imbibe a true military experience.
The campaign mode for Delta Force Hawk Ops is inspired by the Black Hawk Down movie. If you have watched the movie, you already know how good it was, if you have not, make sure to watch it once before you start playing the campaign. On the other hand, this game is also made in a way to accommodate a large-scale PVP multiplayer combat to keep the game true to its original 1998 version.
There will be combat based on Ground, Air, and Water where the players can access assault vehicles, helicopters, armored vehicles, attack boats, terrain vehicles, jeeps, pickups, fighter jets, and drones to provide genuine Delta Force game feelings.
Delta Force Hawk Ops Global Release Date
As of now, no dates have been mentioned for any release window. However, we expect to hear more during the 2023 Gamescom ONL happening next week. We’ll update this space as and when we have more information.
