After a very prolonged period of waiting for the game, fans of eFootball who play the game on mobile are finally treated to the good news of the release of the 2022 version. Announced recently on the official website of Konami’s hit mobile title, the developments are as discussed below.
The release marks the end of a long wait
The update is coming at a point in time where most players have lost their patience with the developers and their tardiness with developing the mobile version, with the launch being about 10 months too late as compared to the console version. This, coupled with the lack of new content in-game led users to review bombing the app on Google Play, with its rating plummeting to abysmal depths. This announcement will probably ease up some of the tension and restore the harmony between the developers and the consumers.
eFootball 2022 mobile: Launch date and system requirements
The game will reportedly be released as a major update of the current 2021 version of the game. The update will take place in the guise of a maintenance break which will last from the 29th of May to the 2nd of June 2022. Players who have the app already installed will receive an option to update the game after the maintenance break takes place.
The system requirements for eFootball 2022 will be as follows:
- Android OS: Version 7.0 or above
- Memory: 2 GB or above
- RAM CPU: Arm-based quad-core (1.5 GHz) or above
- iOS 13
- iPhone 6s or above
- iPad Pro (9.7-inch) or above
- iPad(5th generation) or above
- iPad Air 2 or above
- iPad mini 4 or above
- iPod touch (7th generation)
eFootball Points, Coins, and GP will carry over to the next update
According to the official announcement, a certain fraction of the players owned by a player in the eFootbal 2021 version will carry over, with other items such as contracts, training skills and scouts will be liquidated. Players will also be divided into new categories called Standard, Featured, Trending, and Legendary. It is to be noted that all unclaimed items, scouts, and players in the inbox will be liquidated as well.
eFootball 2022 mobile will allow cross-platform gameplay
The upcoming update will arguably be the largest in the game’s history as it will link the mobile version with the console version, thus creating a stage for cross-platform gameplay. This will cater the game to an even larger audience and will benefit the creators. Also, certain features such as friendly matches and live events will be initially unavailable and will be resumed with patches in subsequent weeks, from June 16, 2022.
