It is great news for Everdale players as Supercell has just announced the release of a new update for Everdale. The devs have introduced ‘Dev Shorts’ to share Everdale news with the players, and the latest short update has announced that pets are finally arriving in the game. Read on to know more details.
Everdale pets update: More than just a gimmick
Pets have finally arrived in Everdale and they are certainly more than just a cosmetic gimmick. For starters, there are different kinds of pets introduced into the game: a dog, a cat, and a bunny. People in your village can also interact and play with the pets and you can see the interactions happen in real-time. Users also have the ability to give their pets names and thus allow them to add a more personal touch to the game if they want to.

Each pet will, of course, have its own little shelter which must be purchased by the player using the in-game currency. The new update isn’t large by any means but it certainly is meaningful and will add a layer of immersion to the game world.
Supercell’s latest title makes rapid progress
Everdale is developed by Supercell, the famous game developer known for the smash hit Clash of Clans, among others. The game is described as a village-building game with fantasy and farming elements. Everdale was initially released in the latter half of 2020 under the name “Valleys and Villages” in the alpha state.
The game entered beta in certain regions on August 23 this year. Although the full version of the game is yet to be released, the beta has still garnered a sizeable audience and thus it can be only a matter of time before the final version of the game launches worldwide. The game has been largely described as “Simple yet fun”.
