1. Pokémon GO is a decade old
While Pokémon turns 30, Pokémon Go is celebrating its 10th anniversary. A massive celebration event runs from March 7 to 9, 2026, bringing back a wide range of previously featured Pokémon all at once.
There’s also a Kanto-themed lead-up event from March 3 to 6, followed by the Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos Global on February 28 and March 1, 2026.
2. Pokémon Champions all set for a 2026 release
Pokémon Champions is all scheduled for a 2026 release. While players on Nintendo Switch will enjoy it early in April 2026, mobile platforms will see it at a later date. It was announced last year, as part of Pokémon Presents 2025.
3. Pokémon UNITE adds Legendary trio
Pokémon UNITE is adding Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno as playable characters through a limited-time event. There’s also a new Electrode Volleyball world tour mode coming soon, which sounds like a fun little escape from the usual competitive format.
4. Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket brings freebies
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is handing out anniversary rewards from February 27 to June 26, 2026. You just need to log in, complete missions, and you’ll unlock 30th-anniversary-themed accessories and bonuses.
5. Pokémon Masters EX celebrates 6.5 years
Pokémon Masters EX is celebrating both 30 years of Pokémon and 6.5 years of the game. New Sync Pairs are rolling out, including Red (1996) and Pikachu, plus Anniversary 2026 versions of Florian and Juliana. There’s also a free 3,000 gem login bonus and special photo missions live right now.
6. Pokémon Sleep adds Mythical Mew
Pokémon Sleep is adding Mew starting tonight. New research tasks and missions focused on the Mythical Pokémon are also now live.
7. Pokémon Café ReMix brings Kanto starters in a new look
The long-running Pokémon Café ReMix joins the Kanto celebration starting February 28, 2026. Three Kanto starter Pokémon are the first wave, who are getting chef costumes and café decorations to match the 30-year theme with other Pokémon. Don’t miss out on the Cafe customizations too!
8. Pokémon World Championships 2026
Well, the announcement isn’t new, but they are creating something amazing here. As announced earlier, San Fransisco will host the annual championship event, with around 3,000 competitors showing up to battle it out.

These games will be held at the Chase Center, which they claim is three times bigger than the arena from last year. The Video Game Championships will see Pokémon Champions, and alongside that, we’ll see matches for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon UNITE as well.
