Facebook Gaming is reopening its Black Gaming Creator Program from today. The application for being a contributor and gaming content creator in Facebook Gaming will remain open till 29 October 2021. This time, they’ll be only accepting eligible candidates from the USA.
The Black Gaming Creator Program was launched in December last year and a huge interest was shown to the initiative by the Black Gaming Community. So, Facebook Gaming decided to open the second wave of applications from the creators to join the program. More details can be found on their Facebook page.
The program is a part of Facebook’s $200 million support to Black-owned businesses and organizations and they recently quoted.
What is the Black Gaming Creator Program
Black Gaming Creator Program is an initiative by Facebook Gaming to support the Black Gaming Community through funding and equip the next generation of Black Gaming Creators with partnership status, mentorship, training on the platform, and more.
The Black Gaming Creator Program was launched in December last year with $10 million in funds for the community over the next two years. Currently, there’re 42 creators and streamers enlisted in it. Partner streamers get the opportunity to participate in exclusive events, bi-monthly summits, mentorship programs, and receive guidance to bring up the community. The creators also enjoy monthly pay, onboard monetization, partner badges to display on their pages, etc.
Facebook Gaming is a streaming platform in the gaming industry, created to compete with other platforms like Twitch and YouTube Gaming. This dedicated streaming platform is run by the gaming content creators under the main Facebook website and app.
