Fortnite Icon Series is adding a skin of the popular NBA player Giannis Antetokounmpo, announced Epic Games. The announcement validates a leak that made the skin available earlier this month, advancing the player to Chapter 4 Season 1. Following the release of the My Hero Academia skins for Fortnite, this is the second collaboration the game has received this season.
Fortnite brings Giannis Antetokounmpo outfits, pickaxes, and more as part of the Icon series
Giannis Antetokounmpo, the superstar of the Milwaukee Bucks, is 28 years old. The athlete, who earned Most Valuable Player Awards in 2019 and 2020, is one of the most coveted names in the NBA. The only player under the age of 30 to appear on Forbes’ list of the NBA’s highest-paid players is Antetokounmpo. With this new collection of skins and items, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has had a successful and well-known career, will now rule the Fortnite arena.
As part of the Fortnite Icons Series, the Giannis Antetokounmpo skin will be available in the Item Shop from December 24. LeBron James’ Fortnite skin was made available last year. This makes Antetokounmpo the second NBA athlete to make an appearance in the game. The skin will be sold alone or as part of the Giannis Antetokounmpo Bundle, together with the Wings of Victory Back Bling, Hashmark Hatchet Pickaxe, Victory in Flight Glider, and Ankara Print Wrap. Starting on December 24, Fortnite will get the Hoplite Giannis skin, which turns Giannis Antetokounmpo into a Greek warrior. The skin will be sold separately or as part of a package along with the Diamond Doru Pickaxe and Dunk Buckler Back Bling. Players will receive the Warm-Up Emote when they purchase the Hoplite Giannis Bundle. With this, Antetokounmpo skins are added to the long list of sports figures with whom Fortnite has worked, which also includes Neymar Jr., a soccer player.
