The popular free-to-play battle royale game Fortnite has some great things in store for the players in the coming days. The current Season 7 of Fortnite has been a huge success with the addition of various impressive content like Batman Skins, Bench Upgrade system, and UFO-themed pop culture reference. Now the leaks suggest that after the virtual Rift tour with Ariana Grande, an Among Us crossover is in the works and might release in the near future in Fortnite. According to a recent tweet by dataminers, a Fortnite x Among Us crossover might be available very soon in the game.
Also, this won’t be the first time that Among Us would be a part of the collaboration with another mobile game. Previously, Among Us also collaborated with Fall Guys earlier this year, bringing out skins similar to Among Us characters in the game.
What can players expect in Fortnite x Among Us crossover
According to leaker HYPEX, there are currently files in the game related to an imposter, a term that Among Us made popular as the “villain” of the game.
Apparently, there’s something in the files called Mole, which contains catchphrases similar to Among Us game features such as, Electrical, Cafeteria, Tasks, Visitor CSI, The Loop, Sabotage, Factory, Repair, Lab, Security, Weapons Lab, Island Monitoring. Though Visitor CSI and The Loop are related to Fortnite, other keywords show strong proof that the rumor might be true about the crossover coming soon in the game. Moreover, there are no images available about what it would look like, which adds up to be more exciting.
When will the Among Us crossover release in the game
With the in-game files leaked, there is a strong possibility of this collab coming soon in Fortnite. Though this may take a while if it happens, because Fortnite has released a virtual Rift Tour featuring Ariana Grande on August 7th, 2021. This event was similar to Travis Scott’s event, with most of the players joining the live event.
As both these events were huge, Fortnite might take some time to release further updates. Also, with other popular games like PUBG Mobile Chinese version and Fall Guys collaborating with Among Us, there is a great chance of this amazing and exciting collab happening soon.
Moreover, as competition in the gaming industry is rapidly increasing for games with more features, it would be great to see a game like Fortnite collab with a fan-favorite game Among Us, increasing their player interaction to a great extent.
