Favorite Mobile Game of 2024: Zenless Zone Zero

My favorite mobile game of 2024 is Zenless Zone Zero. The game didn’t have the best start, but it quickly improved and has been running consistently since. The updates have made the game better, adding new content and features that keep things fresh. As a fan of Hoyoverse, I enjoy the characters they’ve created. Each character has a unique personality and fighting style, making it fun to learn and experiment with them.

The combat is one of the best parts. Pulling off combos and counter-attacks is so satisfying, and the feeling of a well-executed move is unmatched. The fluid combat system makes battles more engaging, and it’s easy to get lost in the action. The game’s futuristic world is visually stunning, and it adds to the overall experience. Overall, Zenless Zone Zero has been a great ride, and it’s one I’ll keep playing throughout the year.

Favorite Mobile Game of 2024: Archero 2

As someone who has played various competitive games for years, especially the popular MOBA, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, I decided to take a break from that side this year and tried a few exciting casual games. But the one, I enjoyed the most was Archero 2, the sequel to the popular hybrid casual game, Archero. I enjoyed its roguelike challenges, including 50 main chapters and numerous other challenges and game modes.

The game is easy with the first few chapters but it quickly gets more challenging with various boss battles. With its improved visuals, adorable characters, smooth user interface, simple controls, and a ton of other content, the game provides a fun and exciting gameplay experience, perfect to play during breaks.

Favorite Mobile Game of 2024: Blood Strike

I grew up with an emotional attachment to action titles. Now, battle royale titles have taken over my interest, and I can’t help but admit that I’m addicted to this genre. Real-time PvP is amazing, and I’ve tested numerous games and played several national ranking tiers in the competitive arena. But when an FPS battle royale with exceptional graphics and sound effects is out in the market, I just can’t sit idle.

This year, Blood Strike took the forefront on my home screen. Its action-packed gameplay, UI, and gameplay experience are on another level. The multiplayer system and decent graphics motivate me to keep playing it, so this title will undoubtedly earn a place in my device.

Favorite Mobile Game of 2024: Pokémon TCG Pocket

In 2024, we witnessed many impressive mobile titles making their debut. I tried to play as many as possible from those games, but the one that truly caught my attention was Pokémon TCG Pocket. Being an ardent Pokémon fan since childhood, this game reminded me of the days when I used to collect physical Pokémon cards with friends.

The exciting card art and the overall user interface are very attractive. The easy-to-learn aspect of Pokémon TCG Pocket also makes it highly appealing to new audiences. With so many positive features, it has undoubtedly earned a spot at the top of my favourites list for 2024.

With so many game genres releasing this year, the one that stood out the most for me, as a female player, is the hit otome game Love and Deepspace. Its stunning 3D models, first-person interactive mechanics, rich character lore, and thrilling boss battles come together to create an incredibly immersive and enjoyable game.

Favorite Mobile Game of 2024: Honor of Kings

Honor of Kings is easily my favorite game of 2024. The way it blends strategy, culture, and innovation is on a whole other level. The gameplay is so engaging, and with frequent updates, it always feels fresh and exciting. As someone who loves MOBA games, I’m hooked on the unique features HOK brings to the table. It’s immersive, fun, and just has that spark that keeps me coming back for more.

Favorite Mobile Game of 2024: Wuthering Waves

2024 was a year of hits and misses for me as a mobile gamer. I tried quite a lot of games but one of them stood out above the rest and surprisingly it was a gacha title and not from HoYoverse. Yes, I am talking about Kuro Games’ brainchild WuWa.

Funnily enough, if you had asked me this question a few months back, I would have struggled to include Wuthering Waves in this year’s top 5, let alone the top 1. The game was poorly optimized for mobile post-launch. There were performance issues, device overheating, and combat lags. Despite all this, WuWa brought a new open-world experience with its new parkour mechanics and a very positive pity system.

But Kuro Games did something extraordinary, they heard all the feedback and fixed most of these issues. They optimized the player experience, fixed performance issues and even awarded free 5-star characters for the bugs. That being said, I need not stress much on why Wuthering Waves is my pick of 2024. A lot has already been stressed on its impressive storyline, combat, and gameplay by WuWa players and my peers alike but the very fact that Kuro Games made the comeback against the gacha community backlash, a community that has been HoYoverse fans over ages, deserves some serious recognition.

Favorite Mobile Game of 2024: Fall Guys

There’s something magical about co-op games that bring people together for endless fun. Party games? Oh, those are my absolute favorites. Among all the titles I tried and tested this year, Fall Guys easily takes the crown as my favorite game of 2024. I first experienced the chaos of Fall Guys on PC, and it was a blast. But once the game finally landed on mobile, it became a whole new level of excitement, because it wasn’t just me playing it.

Suddenly, my entire friend group jumped on board, and every session turned into a laughter-filled competition of jumping, dodging, and falling in the most spectacularly ridiculous ways. The blame game is hilarious when someone loses the team a chance to qualify. The game’s charm lies in its simplicity, anyone can pick it up and play. Yes, these repetitive maps pop up, yet every round feels like a rollercoaster of unpredictable fun. As I write this, my Discord has already popped up a message ‘party is on!’.

Favorite Mobile Game of 2024: Honor of Kings

2024 was a year of mixed emotions for me as a mobile gamer. While I discovered a few standout titles one game that truly stood out for me was Honor of Kings.

As a hardcore mobile MOBA enthusiast, I was blown away by the game’s production quality. From its visually stunning graphics to its smooth gameplay mechanics, Honor of Kings felt very polished. It’s no surprise that the game has consistently topped the revenue charts in China for years.

For me, Honor of Kings delivered what many other games couldn’t: a truly engaging and competitive experience that feels rewarding for players who invest time mastering it. While Arena of Valor struggled to replicate Honor of Kings’ massive e success outside China, I genuinely hope this title manages to break through and achieve global acclaim.
