Genshin Impact Version 4.2 Phase 2 banners will go live on the 28th of November, 2023 at 18:00 Server time and will last till the 19th of December, 2023 at 14:59 server time. Version 4.2 phase 2 banners will feature the reruns of two 5* characters.
Genshin Impact version 4.2 Phase 2 First Character Banner: Twilight Arbiter
This banner features the second rerun of “Judicator of Secrets” Cyno (electro/polearm) since his release in version 3.1. Cyno will be accompanied by the 4-star characters “Cat Upon the Eaves” Kirara (dendro/sword), “Mender of Tribulations” Kuki Shinobu (electro/sword), and “Exquisite Delicacy” Xiangling (pyro/polearm), who will also receive a huge drop-rate boost.
All of these 4* characters are also permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates.
Genshin Impact version 4.2 Phase 2 Second Character Banner: Azure Excursion
This banner features the second rerun of “Pillar of Fortitude” Kamisato Ayato (hydro/sword) since his release in version 2.6. Ayato will be accompanied by the 4-star characters “Cat Upon the Eaves” Kirara (dendro/sword), “Mender of Tribulations” Kuki Shinobu (electro/sword), and “Exquisite Delicacy” Xiangling (pyro/polearm), who will also receive a huge drop-rate boost.
All of these 4* characters are also permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates.
Genshin Impact version 4.2 Phase 2 Weapon banner: Epitome Invocation
This banner features the reruns of two 5* weapons, Haran Geppaku Futsu (sword) and Staff of the Scarlet Sands (polearm). These are the signature best-in-slot weapons for Ayato and Cyno, respectively.
This banner also features the 4-star weapons Lion’s Roar (sword), Favonius Greatsword (claymore), Favonius Lance (polearm), The Widsith (catalyst), and Favonius Warbow (bow). All of these 4* weapons are also permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates.
Should you go for either Cyno or Ayato in Genshin Impact
Neither Kamisato Ayato nor Cyno are must-pull characters. Players should only pull for them if they like them. The real stars of these banners are the 4* characters. Xiangling has always been a top-tier Pyro sub-DPS and Kuki Shinobu found her place as a Hyperbloom unit after the release of Dendro as a playable element. Kirara is also an amazing Dendro shielder for teams that need one.
A very similar case for the weapon banner as well, all of the 4* weapons are amazing except for Favonius Greatsword. The 5* weapons are kind of niche and only work best on their intended characters, so do not pull for them if you don’t have Ayato/Cyno.
