Google Play Pass is set to release in India this week

In a recent announcement, Google has officially announced the launch of the Google Play Pass in India this week. Google Play Pass subscription service gives users access to hundreds of paid apps and games for a small monthly or yearly fee, and it is now coming to India after much anticipation.

“We want to deliver products and programs that the Play community – both users and developers – find value in, and we are always looking for new ways to do this. With the launch of Play Pass in India, we are excited to offer a robust collection of unlocked titles to our users and looking forward to partnering with more local developers to build amazing experiences users love,” said Aditya Swami, the Director of Play Partnerships for Google India.

The Google Play Pass service is Google’s equivalent of Apple Arcade, a similar service for iOS devices with pretty much the same pricing. In this service, if you don’t want to shell out full price for games, then this is a great option. Once the service is launched, users can head to the Play Store, click on their profile and then use your Play Pass to sign up.

Google Play Pass will be starting its services at ₹99 ($1.31) per month for 1000+ titles

The pricing for the service, which will be released sometime this week, starts at ₹99 ($1.31) per month or ₹899 ($11.93) a year along with a one-month free trial. There’s also a prepaid month-long subscription that will be available for a sum of ₹109 ($1.45) per month.

Paying for the service will give you access to games like Terraria, LIMBO, Stardew Valley, Monument Valley 2, and more without having to pay the full price for them and completely ad-free with more being added monthly to the 1000+ applications already available. Additionally, users will be getting their chance to share their subscription with up to 5 other people if they’re connected through a Google Family Group.
