The 16th annual edition of the India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) is all set to showcase yet another event starting November 13th, 2024, in Hyderabad. Known to be South Asia’s largest and oldest conference, the event will run for three days before concluding on the 15th of November as it looks to welcome well over 5,000 attendees and 250+ speakers.
IGDC 2024 will be hosting over 150+ sessions, 40 indie developers and hundreds of booths
Over 150+ sessions can be expected in this grand extravaganza, with a lineup of esteemed speakers. Industry veterans like Jordan Weisman, Tim Morten, Bryce Johnson, and Jaeho Hwang will be sharing their thoughts at the event. The highly anticipated IGDC Awards Night will feature a new International Game Award this year, with the ceremony scheduled for November 14, 2024.
The event will be host to over a hundred booths, workshops, policy round tables, and more. Hosting Indie Developers, board games, and booths for gaming and allied companies, the Expo will showcase a diverse range of talents, with 40 indie developers presenting their work, and 20 of them receiving free booths from Microsoft Xbox.
Mr. Sridhar Muppidi, President of the GDAI mentioned delight in the growth of India as one of the world’s fastest-growing markets, he further added: “The India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) serves as the perfect platform for this thriving ecosystem, where industry leaders, developers, and innovators come together to collaborate, share insights, and shape the future of gaming in India and beyond.”
IGDC 2024 will also feature an exclusive Investor-Publisher Connect session, which is expected to attract over 100 investors and publishers, providing a platform for potential deals and collaborations. Additionally, the conference will launch the Young Indie Scholarship Program, aimed at supporting 25 young game developers this year, offering them tickets, accommodation, and mentorship.
