There is no doubt Netflix is going through a rough phase. The streaming giant has seen a decline in subscriptions for the first time in a decade, additionally, it also just laid off 300 employees. On the other hand, the Netflix Games division has been going all out as they have started acquiring mobile-exclusive rights for popular indie games like Spiritfarer. Now, Netflix is officially bringing Into the Breach to mobile for both Android and iOS on July 19.
Over the past year, Netflix has been slowly ramping up its operations in its gaming division to make its mark in the industry. The developments have been slow but have been very impactful as the company has managed to get its library filled with famous titles.
Defeat the invading aliens using high-tech weapons and save the world
Into the Breach is an indie smash hit turn-based strategy game by Subset Games. The game is globally famous and is highly revered by users with a Metascore of 90 on Metacritic. In the game, players will take on the task of saving the world from an ongoing alien invasion. Players will use high-tech weapons and mechs to defeat the invading aliens. Users will control giant mechs with the strategy to protect structures from invading aliens.
Players will play on different maps that have different objectives and a fixed number of turns to complete them. When it’s the players’ turn they will be able to see exactly what the aliens will do in their next move, this gives Into the Breach a puzzle game-like touch.
Since the game was originally available for PC, the new mobile port will come with an improved touch interface for the smaller mobile screens and without controller support. Into the Breach will be available to play on mobile for both Android and iOS users having active Netflix subscriptions from July 19th, 2022.
