Aniplex Inc. has announced their upcoming 3D turn-based RPG, Madoka Magica Magia Exedra, based on the popular anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica, which is set to release in Spring 2025. The game is co-developed by PokeLabo, creator of Cross Summoner: R, and f4samurai, creator of Code Geass: Lost Stories. It will be available for both mobile platforms and PC.

Madoka Magica Magia Exedra will be based on the popular Puella Magi Madoka Magica IP by Magica Quartet. It features a completely new story and characters inspired by the original concepts of Gekidan Inu Curry, a creative duo consisting of the talented Doroinu and 2shiroinu. Doroinu, who serves as the chief series director of the anime, is behind the story and characters.
You will also get to experience the memories of the various Magical Girls from the series. Moreover, you can form a team of up to five Magical Girls, each with different types, to fight against the Witches and their minions in strategic battles. The game will also include scenarios from the anime and side story game. It looks promising, although the character models are a bit outdated for 2024.
But the good news is that the devs are revising their development schedule to ensure even higher quality for the game, as they mentioned in a tweet, “To deliver the best possible gaming experience based on this beloved series, we have revised our development schedule to ensure even higher quality in the final game.“
The downside is that the launch date, which was initially set for this year, has been delayed until next year’s spring. The store page for Android is live which allows pre-registrations in select regions.
