Mini DAYZ 2 is now globally available as Open Beta

The makers of DAYZ are still working on the game

The wait is finally over for gamers who were eagerly waiting to test Mini DAYZ 2 on their smartphones. Bohemia Interactive has now announced that their action-survival game Mini DAYZ 2 open beta is now available for Android and iOS devices. This comes after the developer and publisher announced working on the upcoming sequel to Mini DAYZ last year. In November 2020 the developers announced Mini DAYZ 2 geo-beta to test the game in select geographies. Now, it will be in open beta for some time to streamline any issues related to the game before it gets a global official release.

Learnings from the Mini DAYZ 2 Geo-beta

The developers launched Geo-beta late last year to test for bugs and polish the game after getting feedback from the community. Under this arrangement, the game was made available for download for users in Canada, Scandinavia, the Philippines, Turkey, and the Czech Republic. Under geo-beta, the developers fixed a total of 312 bug fixes and it was downloaded 13,156 times. It was a very necessary learning phase for the developers as they got a clearer vision of the demand from the community.

When Mini DAYZ 2 will release?

Currently, the game is not completely developed so the developers will need time before its global release. In the open beta, the game offers thousands of maps 25 raid locations featuring 16 different biomes, each with its own terrain and hidden treasures. Even currently the game is available as an open beta for every area other than China.

The developers are looking to test the game on a large scale and Mini DAYZ 2 will be officially released after fixing all the bugs in open beta. It’s expected that the game will have some rarer bugs as Android users are also on fray this time. Meanwhile, you can head over to the Play Store or App Store to enjoy Mini DAYZ2.
