Back again with another edition of my Monthly Mobile Gaming News Roundup, and October 2025 had some interesting stories to share. There’s a lot to dive into, so I’ve rounded up all the key highlights right here to know all the details.

Monthly Mobile Gaming News Roundup for October 2025

Week 1: October 01 to October 07

Executive Summary

The first week of October 2025 delivered a mix of new releases, pre-registrations, and major announcements. Soccer Journey: Champion Squad, MiniRacer Mayhem, Dino War: Survival, and Endless Worlds launched globally, while INMOST confirmed its release for October 28.

Pre-registrations opened for Besiege and Kamen Rider DEFENSE WARRIORS, with NARUTO KAGE entering soft launch in select regions. Meanwhile, Monster Walk: Step Adventure began limited rollout, and Ragnarok Abyss was officially renamed from Project Abyss: Next Ragnarok.

On the announcement front, Talking Tom Cat Remaster was announced with upgraded visuals, and Supercent launched the RE:BOUND 2025 initiative. The week wrapped with Hello World showcased at PAX Australia and Magic Jigsaw Puzzles collaborating with Cut the Rope.

Week 2: October 08 to October 14

Executive Summary

Same story as the first week, we had a good number of launches. Sorry! World, My Om Nom, Disney Magic Match 3D, Ricochet Squad, and HIROZZ all launched globally. At the same time, Last Day GO entered early access, and Vampirio: Defend & Survive soft-launched in select regions.

Pre-registrations went live for CrossFire: Legends, joining upcoming titles like BLEACH: Soul Resonance and Secrets of Paradise, launching worldwide this November. WWE 2K25 Mobile also began soft launch testing under Netflix Games, while Football Manager 26 Touch and EA’s MySims titles were confirmed for Apple Arcade in November.

New projects made headlines with DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY, Dead Account: Two Blue Flames, and Tenkemo were officially announced, while Control Ultimate Edition was revealed for Apple platforms in early 2026. Rounding off the week, Reddit introduced in-app games, and NetEase issued DMCA takedowns for Destiny: Rising leaks.

Week 3: October 15 to October 21

Executive Summary

The third week of October 2025 had Hunters Origin debuting worldwide, while AWAKEN: AstralBlade arrived on iOS. Soft launches included Soul Land: Time Reversed, Sin Seed, and OverField, with Girls’ Frontline: Fire Control set for release.

Pre-registrations opened for MapleStory: Idle RPG, and several major releases were confirmed, including Sonic Rumble and Sword of Justice arriving in November, and Planet of Lana heading to mobile this December.

Lost Ark Mobile also began its closed beta phase, while Project Vampire started testing in the Philippines. The Sims Mobile shutdown was officially announced for January 2026, Football Manager 26 secured an official FIFA partnership, and SEGA Football Club Champions was delayed to early 2026.

Chinami Holic and Senran Kagura Project N were revealed for 2026, while My Talking Tom Friends 2 rolled out its Halloween update. The week wrapped with the GamingonPhone Awards 2025 in Bangkok, BGMI Esports’ transfer window opening, and the Subway Surfers x Among Us collaboration kicking off.

Week 4: October 22 to October 28

Executive Summary

The fourth week of October 2025 saw Awakenloop, Dawn Watch: Survival, and Dicefolk launched globally, and Ragnarok Twilight launching across Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, Angry Birds Match World soft-launched in Finland.

Pre-registrations went live for Legend of YMIR, Hero Seekers, and Duck Detective: Ghost Glamping, while Petit Planet and Heartopia announced upcoming closed beta tests. CABAL RED confirmed a November 25 launch, and Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen revealed its iOS release for December. Boat Game also opened sign-ups for its second Alpha test.

Outside of game launches, Netflix announced a Catan TV adaptation, MONOPOLY GO! Chat began regional testing in France, and Honor of Kings: World confirmed its Spring 2026 release window. Rememento: White Shadow suspended services ahead of a relaunch, Strinova launched in China, and Warrior Cats was revealed to be getting a mobile adaptation in 2027.

Week 5: October 29 to October 31

Executive Summary

The last three days didn’t leave us empty-handed, as we had several announcements to share. Billionaire Royale Club and Hill Climb Racing 3 both entered soft launch, while Waltz of the Wizard made its iOS debut.

OverField confirmed its global launch date for November 6, and Aniimo began recruiting players for its iOS technical test in the US. Monument Valley 3 announced its return to mobile this December. Supercell announced the shutdown of Squad Busters, with its final update arriving this December.

Meanwhile, Pokémon Masters EX revealed partial shutdown plans in select SEA regions, and UnGodly was officially postponed to Q1 2026. The Call of Duty Movie project gained traction with a confirmed writer and director, and Talking Tom Heroes: Suddenly Super marked its UK premiere on BBC CBeebies.
