The Superhero squad is somewhat of a new concept within Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and will finally be rounded out with Esmeralda “The Foreseer” being the 5th and final member. Since the release of Bruno “Firebolt” as the first hero skin, players have been anxiously awaiting the release of the 4 remaining members, who have turned out to be Lancelot, Chou, Vale, and the lovely Esmeralda. Each hero has their own unique elemental concept and brings a new set of comical effects to the battlefield. With these themes in mind, let us explore what makes this Esmeralda “The Foreseer” skin stand out from the rest.
Comical effects
A recurring theme with these Hero skins is the lovely use of comic book conventions in their design. This includes the likes of flashy sound effects, bright yellows and reds and a black highlight on each effect that emphasizes the inspiration from comic books. Words like ZING, KABOOM and WOW are very commonly found in superhero comic books. Developers have brought this into the skin designs for the Superhero series.
In particular for Esmeralda, she is given an overall yellow tone with some black highlights and pink accents. Her skills will have yellow and pink colours where these two colours synergize well with her passive, Starmoon Casket. This allows her Basic Attack to hit twice. Her Ultimate, Falling Starmoon is also well-designed with her signature diamond-shaped tips at the centre, a purple crescent moon surrounding her and an overwhelming combination of cheesy comic motifs.
Unique battle effects
In the draw event for the Hero skins, past events have shown that each hero comes with their own set of personalized recall effect, elimination effect, Sacred Statue, emote and spawn effect alongside the skin. These can be obtained in a draw event that uses event-specific tokens or Diamonds to spin for rewards. In the case of Esmeralda, she will also be getting her own sweet set of battle effects that will aid players in showing off the skin further.
The KILL effect and the showcased recall effect seen in the trailer will likely be a reward from the draw. All of the battle effects are similarly themed to the Esmeralda skin. Players should be ready to spend quite a bit of diamonds for Esmeralda “The Foreseer” skin and its battle effects.
