Mobile Legends shares M5 World Championship official song MV

The song gathered some mixed comments from the fans

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is set to commence the most prestigious event of its esports scene, the M5 World Championship 2023. Ahead of the launch of the M5 World Championship, the official music video of its theme song Better Than Great was released earlier today, the 22nd of November 2023.

The song featured a few of the most popular pro players from the game’s esports scenario. However, not everyone seemed happy as the song received several criticism for several reasons.

The M5 World Championship official song has received mixed feedback from the fans

As the teams from around the globe gear up for the ultimate crown, it’s time to rise beyond greatness!” says the song description before commencing its most prestigious esports event in 2023. However, mixed opinions and criticisms were spotted in the comments section of several official social media handles of the title that shared the song.

Some of the fans claimed that the latest one lacks quality both in visuals and making. They argued that the official song of M4 was better. Another argument came up as it was spotted that the players from this world championship received less footage in this song. Rather, players who are not going to participate in the M5 are featured greatly.

“Better Than Great” showcased players like Nicky “Kiboy” Pontonuwu and Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol from ONIC Esports. On the other hand, Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno from ECHO who will not be in the event was also featured. But things got a bit far as Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun was also in the video while his team BloodThirstyKings failed to qualify for the M5. This raises the question of whether the music video was made way before the teams were locked on. Fans claimed MOONTON Games to be “biased”.

The event will kick off on 23rd November, with the group stage starting in December

The M5 World Championship is going to kick off on the 23rd of November 2023. A total of 16 teams will participate in the grand finals of the event while 22 teams will be featured in total. Currently, the Wildcard stage is to start sailing soon. With a massive prize pool of $900,000, the M5 World Championship will crown the best Mobile Legends esports team in the world.
