MONOPOLY GO brings the Community Shutdown Challenge to the game as a community event, so let us get to know all the details about this, including the dates, rewards, and more.

MONOPOLY GO Community Shutdown Challenge: Everything you need to know

As mentioned earlier, a massive Community Shutdown Challenge is now ongoing, giving you the chance to team up and earn exciting rewards. Well, teaming up is not about making friends, but working together.

The goal? Players across the game are tasked with performing a collective total of 700 million Shutdowns in one week. It is quite funny, as to complete this challenge, we need to work together but to achieve a shutdown, we must destroy each other.

Now, coming to the rewarding side. If you succeed, everyone will receive a special Jubilee Token as a reward. However, it’s not yet clear whether this reward will be limited to those who have actively participated by completing at least one Shutdown or if it will be granted to all players, even those who haven’t logged into the game during the event.

Anyway, doesn’t hurt if you land at least on shutdown from your end. To complete this event, you will have time for a week. The event went live on October 28, 2024, so you can buy yourself time till November 4th to make the maximum contributions.

MONOPOLY GO Community Shutdown Challenge Strategies

I think you know how Shutdowns work in the game. For those who don’t, to start the Shutdown minigame, land on a railway tile and attack another player’s Landmarks to earn money. You can also get revenge by choosing a friend or the player who attacked you before picking a landmark to target. This will also count for the community challenge.

There are plenty of tournaments running within these seven days. It also needs to land on a railway tile, so you just have to hope that it lands on a Shutdown tile. With this, you are not only contributing to the challenge but also completing milestones parallelly to get individual rewards. Win-win situation, so collect as many Dice Rolls as possible and maybe autoplay it on the same day.
