GENMUGAME CO., LTD., known for Haze Reverb, Elpis Fallen Star, and more, has announced their latest casual rural-life simulation title, Moribiyori – Relaxed Country Life, which is set to launch on both Android and iOS in February 26, 2026 in Japan.
Get ready to escape into a calm, rural life and build your own garden
Moribiyori is a bringing a laid-back rural life experience for you this month. Set in a town full of memories, far from the city, you inherit a decaying garden from someone dead to you. You can then use your imagination to reshape the garden, while also enjoying a life entirely at your own pace.
This one greatly reminds me of Morikomori Life, which is another social rural life sim. Similar to that, you can enjoy a relaxing rural life with farming, fishing, and more. There’s so much that you can do here, right from plowing the fields, sowing seeds, to even cooking meals and eating when you’re hungry.
You can decorate your garden and house, dress up your character, and more
You can also gather materials like stones and wood to craft furniture, and with them decorate both your garden and home the way you want. Moreover, if you love dressing up, you can also collect costumes and accessories via sewing and other events, then create your own unique outfits and wear them.
Overall, the game looks promising to me with its Studio Ghibli-like visuals, adorable characters, seasonal events, variety of laid-back hobbies, and more. I hope the game releases globally soon, as I can’t wait to meet other players, eat meals together, chat leisurely, and even visit each other’s homes.
