Video game developer Nexon announced a list of 9 titles they are set to release next year with Dunpa mobile surely being one of the biggest titles of them all. Nexon has previously showcased some of them during the 2021 Nexon Media Showcase.
Nexon is building upon its recent success
Nexon passed 3 trillion in sales in the game industry in the year 2021 and it looks like they are planning to take full advantage of their recent success and carry the momentum into the year 2022. They were successfully able to achieve a stable release of games last year including notable titles such as V4 and Blue Archive, both of which achieved commercial success on mobile devices.
Nexon CEO Jeongheon Lee has revealed that the company is working on a total of ten projects for the year 2022, 7 of them being large-scale projects and 3 of them being small-scale projects. Thus, fans of Nexon’s recent titles have plenty to look forward to next year too.
What we know about Dunpa mobile and its release
Among Nexon’s large-scale projects is Dunpa mobile. Dunpa mobile is an action RPG. The game is based on the original 2D action RPG known as Dungeon and Fighter and is also said to be heavily action-focused. It is expected to be beautifully optimized for mobile devices.
Dungeon and Fighter were also developed by Nexon and was immensely popular among the general public. The game recorded an astonishing 850 million users worldwide and passed 18 million dollars in sales. Nexon released an animated view detailing the worldview of the Dunpa multiverse and other information about the unique lore in the game.
Some of the other major titles announced now were actually announced earlier this year. These included Mabinogi Mobile and Tales Weaver: Second run. With such an extensive line-up of games in the way, mobile gamers certainly have a lot to look forward to next year.
