- South Korean company KRAFTON has already secured the IP rights for Palworld Mobile.
- KRAFTON's PUBG Studios is hiring on multiple profiles to develop Palworld Mobile.
Palworld was an instant hit on PC and Console when it was released. To replicate that success on the mobile platform, it looks like KRAFTON has already cracked a licensing deal with the Japanese developer Pocketpair Studios. In recent job postings, I found that KRAFTON is gearing up for Palworld Mobile under its PUBG Studios.
UPDATE NOTES
As of October 2, 2024: KRAFTON has officially confirmed the licensing agreement for Palworld Mobile. The original story continues below.
Palworld Mobile’s release felt inevitable
When Palworld got its overnight success, we knew it would arrive on mobile sooner or later. There were already plenty of rumors going around, however, KRAFTON’s job postings finally put an end to this.
Thanks to PlayerIGN who reported this first and took a screenshot. I realized KRAFTON posted the jobs but immediately changed the job titles to “New Project“. To verify this, I researched and found that this is indeed the case.
When I click on any of these job posts, all of them open but in place of “Palworld Mobile“, it writes “New Project“. So it is evident that KRAFTON is trying to keep it under the wraps for now.
I found there are at least two jobs related to this game. There might be more, but now I can not differentiate because all of them are “New Projects“.
Palworld’s success has already inspired many to create similar mobile titles
If it is not Palworld, then we would get plenty of similar titles on mobile. And ever since the Palworld phenomenon happened, mobile gamers have playing similar titles to satisfy their needs.
Tencent‘s MoreFun Studios has been developing Roco Kingdom. Hero Entertainment is developing Auroria. Deamcube is developing Miraibo Go. Tencent’s Lightspeed and TiMi Studios hiring to develop similar titles. And there might be more that we still don’t know!
When will we hear about this officially, we still do not know. But considering the previous similar experiences, it’s highly possible that sometime in the second half of 2025 we may hear about Palworld Mobile from KRAFTON officially.
